Summary: I couldn't put it down
Review: My SO was upset because I sat in the front room and giggled my way through many of the scenes in this book, especially the retired Olympians. I truly hope that there is eventually a sequel to this book...I need another nine hour stint of sitting on the couch ignoring the world!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is an intriquing, witty and clever book.
Review: You have to love a book that has a talking cat. What a delight, cover to cover. I hope this becomes a series like the "Blood" books. Anytime you can thrill and chuckle both is a treat.

Summary: It doesn't get any better than this!!
Review: Summon the Keeper was my very first Huff novel, and I wasn't disappointed! The book was great from cover to cover...I read it in 2 days! The characters are so dynamic, the plot is intriguing, and Austin the cat is awesome! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a sequel! This is a must for any fantasy or sci-fi fan!!!

Summary: An excellent blend of reality and the metaphysical!!
Review: Huff provides the reader with a pleasant escape to a possible reality in Summon the Keeper. Although I intially had trouble connecting with Claire, I hated to close the cover when finished. her interactions with the other characters - expecially Austin and Mrs. Abrams (with a "b" and two esses) had me laughing out loud. Fans of Laurell K. Hamilton (like myslef) will truly enjoy this book as it also offers a blend of reality and the metaphysical with a good dose of humor tossed in. I can only hope that Ms. Huff won't leave us hanging by publishing many more of Claire's, Austin's and Dean's adventures. But, since evil can never be truly vanquished, maybe we won't have long to wait. A Keeper's work is never done!

Summary: Brilliant sense of humor!
Review: If this book has nothing else it has a wonderful sense of humor that kept me wishing for more. I started reading Huff with "Sing the Four Quarters." I have now read nearly everything she has written and so far this one is my favorite. May she write this well for many more years.

Summary: We REALLY need a sequel...
Review: I loved this book and would love to know what happens. Between Claire and Dean, how much more trouble could Claire possibly get into?...and hear some more from Austin. That cat really helps make the book complete. Now all we readers need is more, more, MORE!! Tell us how their lives turn out.

Summary: incredible, a light-hearted jaunt into fantasy
Review: I really loved the inside jokes that drown this book. I read it during my finals week in school and it really made the week easier to get through knowing that someone else's life was worse than mine. And hey, what's cooler than a cat who talks back to you, and makes snide comments a profession. The fact that Hell talks to itself as though it were two separate people makes it particularly entertaining; and the light-hearted, face-paced story got even me (who has been nick-named Death) to laugh out loud. That takes an awfully good joke. A must read for anyone who needs to take a load off.

Summary: Grounded modern fantasy with a very alluring sense of humor.
Review: I've read fantasy for over 19 years, and besides for one special exception, I've never enjoyed a book as much as this one. Setting a believable fantasy storyline in an Ontario B&B, and peppered with subtle humor, it keeps you on your toes begging for more. The relationships between characters are deep and intriguing. But the humor got to me - for all of Terry Pratchett's Pythonesque lines, he tries too hard. This book catches you and keeps you smiling the whole way through.

Summary: The Best I've read in a long time
Review: The book was hilarious and held my attention from the beggining to the end. Tanya Huffs writing style is wounderful and easy to get into. The verbal sparing between the cat and Clair, and Clair and Hell was great and left me giggling every time I thought about it. Its been a long time sence a book was able to make me laugh out loud. I've already recomended it to my friends and they loved it as much as I did. I deffently recommend reading this one.
