Summary: Amazing ingenuity and concept!
Review: I absolutely loved this book! The characters were loveable, even the bad ones and in the end I wanted to read it all over again. The humor on every page just made it even better. Now I'lll always look at cats and caretakers differently!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Truly fun reading!
Review: At the risk of sounding like Oliver Twist, "Can I have more, please?" This is a wonderful book, which truly needs to be only the first in a long series. My husband and I both enjoyed this book immensely. It is funny, poignant and highly entertaining! Part of it's charm is the fact that Claire, the main character (after Austin the Cat, of course!), is NOT perfect. She can be positively dense and is certainly not a people-person (not surprising, given her job responsibilities, plus you have to give her a break due to her age). Also, I could really use Dean at home. . . sigh. Austin is wonderful! I've known cats like him, but they just didn't have his panache. I highly recommend this book to anyone with a sense of humor.

Summary: Definitely a top shelf romp!
Review: Add me to the list of people who are itching for more books in the Keeper series! (It will be a series, won't it? Please?)

I'm not generally a reader of fantasy, but I have a soft spot for well written cat characters, and I read this one after three friends independently recommended it. I'm very glad I did!

Others have summarized very well, so I won't add any redundancy except to say that if wry humour appeals to you, you're going to love this book!

Summary: Somewhat Slow
Review: This book was a good time filler when there was nothing else to do. I thought after reading the reviews that I would love this book, but found that I had a hard time getting into it. I did not find the cat all that witty, the ghost was irritating and Claire, the main character in charge of closing the pit to hell in the basement was not very likeable. I did not feel that the characters had much depth.

The sister Diana was the most interesting and lovable character in the book, unfortunately, it was not Diana's story.

The attempt to weave romance in was not very good. I was surprised to find out the characters finally had a night together since I felt that their was no chemistry.

It is good it you want to read something with a different storyline, but don't look for endearing characters or great chemistry.

It is a good book when their is nothing else to do, but I would not stop what I was doing to read it.

Summary: I love this book!
Review: I am a huge fan of fantasy and sci-fi, but also of mythology. You name the culture, I've read something about it. So when the "Olympians" come to the Bed and Breakfast - I loved the Greek Gods as they are portrayed. I also, loved everything else about the book. Definitely on to keep and re-read just to laugh all over again at what Austin says. And the choice, somewhat argumentative statements from Hell. (Or is that plural?)

Summary: still laughing...
Review: This book actually scared me, because it sounded so much like something I would write. Except, of course, much, much better. I gave it to my sister to read, and she agreed with that. Also, the cat reminds me of my own black and white cat. Does this book actually exist, or am I having delusions? Anyone who can read this book and not laugh out loud must be dead.

Summary: Summoning the giggles
Review: I have just finished reading this book (my first by Tanya Huff) and I loved it! It was wonderful, easy reading. Tanya Huffs sense of humor had me rolling time and time again...Where else can you combine a talking cat, a ghost, vampires, werewolves, and a hole to hell in the furnace room? You can't miss the aging Olympians. I have heard a rumor that there will be sequel...but not for about another year...YEAH! I'm definitely going to check out some of her other works.

Summary: One the FUNNIEST books I've read....
Review: I love this book. I got it from the library for the second time last week just so I could lend it to a friend. It's one of the those that I'd but and give out for gifts. Oddly enough, the scenes with Hell or some of the best.

Summary: Summon The Sequel
Review: TRhis is my first foray into Tanya Huff's world and dare I say, not my last. She has completely captured me with Claire and Austin, the talking cat. at first I thought the idea of a talking cat, even in urban fantasy, was a bit corny for my tastes, but only a few pages in and I loved this wisecracking feline! He steals the book surely and I hope dearly there will be another featuring these two. Next up, i will try her vampire series. If You like Laurell K. Hamilton, tanya Huff is a sure bet!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of Huff's best!
Review: I've read and enjoyed Tanya Huff's Four Quarters series, but never truly expected the twisted shadings of humour that pepper this book. A hole to hell in the basement (that seems to have a split personality), an elevator that opens to the bridge of the Enterprise, a snide geriatric cat and a male housekeeper that not only does windows, but looks REALLY good while he does it...and that's just the bare bones of this carnival ride to the Elysian Fields Guest House. As a Canadian, I'm thoroughly delighted to see such a great book poking fun at our usual image. When can we expect a sequel? Soon, I hope.
