Summary: The best Star Wars Book i have Read.
Review: I think this is the best Starwar book i have read so far. It focuses on the destruction of a world the return ofone of the Imperials greatest leaders and more.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: An entertaining read
Review: With this book, Timothy Zahn has proved himself the master at continuing the Star Wars saga that has excited so many Star Wars fans. However, I do wish that he had devoted more time to Han, Leia, and Luke instead of spending so much time introducing other characters that only made token appearances in the film. During the process of reading this book, I find myself often scanning ahead just to get a glimpse of the original Star Wars characters. Also, after all the setting up of the conspiracy involving the Bothans and Caamasi, the ending seems a bit of a let down in that Luke, Leia, and Han Solo never did much to solve the crisis and spent much of the time running around in the circle. Ultimately, Talon Kaarde was the one who saved the day with his timely appearance in Vision of the Future.

Summary: Thick story line excellent plot.
Review: Its 10 years after the death of Grand Admiral Thrawn. The New Republic is at the brink of victory over the Imperials but the imps. still have a few tricks up their sleeves.

Tim Zahn returns to make a excellent new star wars book. It is must buy for any star wars fan. It has lots of action and many plot twist and turns.

I recommend this book for any one who likes action\adventure titles. Although it dosen't give a real introduction I reccomend reading the Grand Admiral Thrawn series first to find what is happening. It is a very good book with many of the worlds you know of with a few new ones. It also has lots on spying and political war games.+ it itroducing new vehicles and technology. All in all, in excellent book for any star wars fan.

Summary: What happened to the Luke and Han we knew?
Review: Luke and Han have become effectively pansys. They have lost a great deal of their character. This isn't just my own opinion. Many readers at echo station agreed with me. In fact, I agreed with them. The book was otherwise good, and had some plot line, unlike the young jedi knights books.

Summary: Specter sets the scene...
Review: As an avid Star Wars fan (I have most of the paperback books and a couple hardcover ones), I must say that Zahn knows what he's doing. Thrawn's "return" was exquisitely handled with the same building of plot that we saw in the first Thrawn trilogy. With the same stategy twists and near omniscience that we came to know and love with Thrawn. Lando's near abduction show's that Tierce knows his business. The Caamas thing gives us a nice plot and Thrawn's "return" makes it viable. Unfortunately, I'll have to deny Specter five stars. The action is a bit to slow and far between for my tastes, and the story could have been spread over two books instead of crammed into one. All in all Specter is a brilliant addition to the Star Wars universe. I tip my lightsaber to you Mr. Zahn, May the Force be with you.

Summary: Not much action, but sets up a good plot.
Review: It was good, but not enough actual action. It did a good job of setting up a plotline for the next one in the series, but that is all. Especially the Bothans and Caamas thing. That has great potential. With the return of "Thrawn", it would be suspenseful, but you know what the other side is planning. I usually say if it would make a good movie or not. It would be ok, but not as good as any in the trilogy.

Summary: Great Story
Review: THis book I mostly believe would only be understood by people who enjoy Star Wars to a certain extent. The plotline was great and the return of Thrawn was exciting and I can't wiat untill the sequel comes out!

Summary: Most Excellent Work...It is simply a work of Art...!
Review: Mr. Zahn, again you have produced a First Rate novel set in the favorite univerise of Star Wars.

Mightly Fine stuff continuing on the Mara Jade and Luke SkyWalker dialogs. I long to see what you come up with for those two as well as the rest of the New Republic. But mostly those two.

Again well done and keep it coming...

Summary: You haven't read it yet ???
Review: Page after page drips with swampy mists of mystery and awe. I pour through the icy plots of subtrifuge, death, and new life. A spark of clarity in a sea of darkness.Tense. Bold. Daring. Read on the book beacons me. I need to see the finality. Stopping wouldn't ease the curiousity I gush forth.....more more nore

Summary: Star Wars Lives On!
Review: Zahn does it again, expanding the epic story of Star Wars to new dimensions. The plot follows quite well from Zahn's previous novels, and does anm excellent job of integrating some of the characters from other author's novels. If you've read "Children of the Jedi", you'll be quite pleased to see what happens to the mysterious Callista in this book.

Pellaeon, Grand Admiral Thrawn's former second in command is an exciting character that has evolved from the dubious fool under Thrawn's direct protection. Much of the plot of the book will likely become clear when part II of The Hand of Thrawn comes out, and the Empire's plot for the reappearance of Thrawn seems quite simplistic for a mind as creative as Zahn's.
