Review: Timothy Zahn is the best author ever. This is one of his greatest books and the entire "Hand of Thrawn" series is the epitomy of Star Wars literature. Along with the creation of Mara Jade, he has added another facet to the Star Wars universe.

Review: I eagerly awaited Zahn's next Star Wars saga novel, and I wasn't disappointed. No other writer captures the spirit, fervor, and zeal of Star Wars as does Zahn. This book will have your hands shaking with anticipation, as you try to finish one page before springing to the next. I hope that other Star Wars writers use Zahn as an example.

Summary: An excellent book
Review: Zahn has to be the best writer in the Star Wars business (next to Lucas). Reading his material you get a sense that he truly understands the characters and what motivates them. I just wish he had had more control over the series between his first set and the two new books. If you always felt Luke and Mara belonged together, then this series is for you.

Summary: Zahn is Brilliant!
Review: This novel is the spectacular return of a great Star Wars series. Timothy Zahn is a master storyteller. From the quick beginning to the end, it is satisfying Star Wars action. This novel is a MUST READ for any fan of Star Wars or even Science Fiction for that matter. There is one catch, however. Make sure you have "Vision of the Future" handy after you finish this book. After this one ends the other picks right back up, and you don't want to put either one down until the last page is read!

Summary: Zahn is back
Review: Although I have just recently graduated from college (thank the Maker!) I'm not much of a reader. But I've been slowly plodding through all the Star Wars novels. If you really enjoyed the Thrawn trilogy, you'll enjoy these books (although you might be dissappointed at Thrawn's "return"!) This book is written in Zahn's usual style and does a fairly decent job keeping you interested in each of the character's specific plot contributions. Zahn, following after the movies, does a good job following each of the seperate characters stories and masterfully bringing them together in the next book.

Review: Wow, I mean wow! I loved it so much! It was a great plot and filled with tons of action. I've been hardly sleeping cuz'I had to keep reading it and now I can't wait til I can get Vision of the Future. I wish Thrawn really could be back and the Empire could win for once, but I'll take what I can get.

Summary: "Specter of the Past" is truly spectacular!!
Review: This is one of the best Star Wars book out. It contains all you ever want from Star Wars. Lots of action, each character getting invovled in differnt things. Timothy Zahn has written some of the best plots for Star wars. All of Zahn's plots have had one thing in comman, they have delt with Admiral Thrawn, one of the worst enemies out there. This book is a two part saga and Thrawn is already dead. Luke, Leia, and Han describe Thrawn as one of there hardest foes to defeat. "Specter of the Past" takes place some fifteen years after "Return of the Jedi." In this book, the empire is rebuiding and a Moff desides to take matter in his own hand and create an Admiral Thrawn look alike. The New Republic hands a document contain some information that the some Bothan Clans were invovled in helping the Empire distroy a race. they also find a blank document titled "The Hand of Thrawn," which is what this two book series is called. This unvailing of what happen to Caamas is hurting the republic and could rip them apart enough so the Empire could riegn supreme once again. If you want to know the rest, read it for your self, then read the sequel "Vision of the Future," and what the future holds may be surprising. Other Star War novel Timothy Zahn has wrote are "Heir to the Empire", "Dark Force Rising", and "The Last Command."
