Summary: Best Read by Zahn Fans, Daunting for Newbies
Review: I enjoyed the book but have to say that it's generally off limits for newcomers to the SW novels. Fans of Zahn will love this book especially since he discards the work of several other SW authors. Zahn either found their work cumbersome or delivered a big FU to other SW authors.Fans of Chewbacca and Threepio will be disappointed since they are an afterthought. Fans of Luke will be entertained by another romance but not enough force introspection. The second book is better than the first.

Summary: Gee, how does he do it???
Review: Once again Zahn knows how to hook star wars fans into reading his novels. I haven't read the sequel yet, but I am sure that 2 episodes will surely be not enough for the real star wars freaks. Loved Major Tierce, Zahn did a great job of timing this character with Dark Horse's comic about the Royal Guard of the Emperor (Crimson Empire). This book rocks just as hard as his earlier novels did. Please, Tim, write more of these.

Review: If you liked his first trilogy Zahn wrote for Star Wars, you'll love this book... it takes us ten years past that first trilogy and devolopes those characters a little more... I can't wait for "Vision of the Future" to come out in Paperback!

Review: I loved this book! It took me only 4 hours to read, as it had me grabbed into the book. Nothing could pull me away! This book is the best. Good for Star Wars fans over the age of 9!

Review: Timothy Zahn has once again managed to capture the elegence and excitment of Star Wars. Not something that has been occuring of late in the Star Wars Universe. Zahn's Excellent writing has once again outdone all the other books I have read. WAY TO GO ZAHN! I can't wait for the new book to come out.

Review: Zahn has set the stage for what promises to be a thrilling, action-packed sequel. Nothing like waiting a year before finishing the story line to build some suspense. Which will come out first, Zahn's sequel or the Star Wars prequel?

Summary: Zhan accomplishes the impossible!!!
Review: Incredible!!! Zahn managed to take everything I hate about his Thrawn trilogy and expand on it. first and foremost , Zahn's inability to wok with the other star wars authors. Mara Jade's successful smuggler's alliance is "shut down" for some reason. KArrde is back from retirment. Liea is a councilor again. Pellaeon and Thrawn is back (an imposter). In a way , everything is back to the way it was during the Thrawn trilogy. The worst thing in this book though , is the Camaas issue. It's so unrealistic, that the entire galaxy would turn rebellios for something that happened so long ago , and this is a GALAXY!!! Americans used black people as slaves not so long ago , but you dont see the black community rise up and call for "vengeance" or whatever. Same with many of the other atrocities that happened in our time. Nobody really cares that much. And in a large galaxy , every world , with thousands or millions of peoples on it , should have it's own political/racial or other propblems. Another thing i HATE with Zahn's style is how things in his story lines tie together. Even though it's less evident in this book , the incident of the mysterious flying craft that appears to the storys main charecters is unrealistc. the chance of it apperaing like that are slim. I trust this will be explained in the sequel. Let's hope it's about a 1000 time better than this piece of **** , which shouldnt be hard to do at all.
