Rating: Summary: MY FAVORITE Review: This was the first Dean Koontz book that I read. I have read all of his others and to this day it is still my favorite. The characters are very intriguing and the plot keeps twisting and turning. It was very fast-paced and intense. I have recommended it to all of my friends!
Rating: Summary: The BEST Koontz novel of all time! Review: You must read this book! If you like action, romance, adventure, science fiction and a twist of world history don't miss this book. This is a story of unbelievable love and how one man is determinded to let nothing stand in the way of it - not even time itself. Two stories of two lives that remarkably cross paths to overcome obstacles never faced before. You'll cry and you'll cheer for the most vivid characters in modern fiction!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic, Energetic -- one of his BEST! Review: Lightening offers a wonderful entanglement of science fiction, time travel, and character study. I devour everything Mr. Koontz writes because he is a highly intelligent and imaginative author, and this is my FAVORITE. I also love happy endings and he provides that more often than not. Following the threads of this woman's life and the time traveller's delimna as he interferes for her benefit is a wonderful love story
Rating: Summary: Very energetic book Review: This is one of the best Koontz books I have read. It is a little slow for the first few pages then it hooks you. There a lot of twists and turns and quite a few suprises. If you like Koontz, you will love it, I did
Rating: Summary: A Koontz original. Review: I found the beginning of the book to be slightly confusing in regard to the time-travel. As the book evolved, it became clearer as to the purpose. In conclusion, I found it to be very enjoyable
Rating: Summary: It cannot be mached by its natural counter-part! Review: This book horrified and thrilled me at the same time. My heart was beating so fast at the climax that I was sure of a heart faliure. What can I say? It's heart-stopping, page-turning, wide-eyed fun
Rating: Summary: Not worth the time!!!!!!! Review: Lightnig was a major disappointment. This is the first Koontz book I've read and I'm not impressed.
The first 250 pages are so needlessly wordy I felt like he must get paid by the word. The last 100 pages were an O.K. adventure saga.
There is nothing new about time travel or the possibilities or problems that it presents.
The story about Laura is very simple and could have been told in half the space.
If you want sci-fi try Herbert or Asimov. They combine the sci-fi with great story telling.
Rating: Summary: What can I say? I was impressed!!! Review: This book definitely deserves a 10 on the scale. I have read a lot of Koontz books lately. But this one has to be my favorite so far. If Koontz keeps writing, I'll keep reading!
Rating: Summary: Approaching lightening storms stir up momentary terror! Review: Intense and frighteningly realistic. I could not put this book down
Rating: Summary: A very strong story line Review: I see I am one of the lowest ratings. Hmmm. It was a good book, don't get me wrong, but it just wasn't suspenceful enough. It was pretty funny, though. That's a plus. The ending was a little predictable. Read it anyway
