Review: Koontz has done it again, penning another fabulous story in "Lightning". The premise is not new-a girl witnesses a strange man appear to help her escape trouble whenever it appears. However, Koontz displays this in a new fashion; is this man a harbinger of evil, or her savior from it? There are many twists and turns in this novel, many, if not most, unexpected, and welcome! Koontz delievers a wonderful book full of action, adventure, romance, science fiction, and most of all-surprises! The revelation of who this mysterious stranger is, in my opinion, is worth reading the book alone...the rest is icing on the cake!

Summary: A great book - and by far Koontz's best
Review: I love this book. It's about a girl who is rescued by a stranger whenever she is in danger. One day the stranger shows up on her porch unconscious and in desperate need of her help. There's a great twist about who he is and where he comes from. "Lightning" is very suspenseful and imaginative, it draws you in right at the start and never lets go. If you only read one book by this author (and I hope that you do - the rest get very redundant and annoying) read this one!

Summary: Lightning-very thought provoking
Review: It's been a while since I've read Lightning, but I couldn't help myself to write this review. Though it is not my favorite Koontz book, it is probably in my top ten. The book has well-developed characters, a complex and often mind-bending plot, and a satisfying conclusion. The complex plot, in my opinion, is probably the best aspect of the book. It forces you to think, and it gets your mind going. Personally, I was still thinking about it for days after I had completed it. This is definitely Koontz at his best, though Watchers, Seize the Night, and Dark Rivers of the Heart truly display Koontz's great writing ability.

Review: This book started out absorbing, fast paced and thought provoking. Then as if another author took over, it became slow, ridiculous, and poorly written. The characters are impossible to believe, the sweet mother turns into Bonnie and Clyde with her 8 year old son....the story is a big bad mistake! Sorry...but true!

Review: This book truly brings out the genious of Koontz to the reader-the mixture of harsh reality and pure science fiction are exellently mixed with romance and adventure- this book is worth reading.

Summary: LIGHTNING strikes home
Review: Dean Koontz can be accused of rehashing old horror plots and serving them in a new format, but not with Lightning. The story of a woman's life where she is repeatedly saved by a mysterious stranger but where she also has to make her own choices to survive, is touchingly beautiful without being sentimental. The reader is drawn into her life as well as her saviour's, with a fascinating subplot connected to time travel and how a few words can change the course of history. The ending is sublime.

Review: In the book lightning by Dean Koontz the author was very good at keeping the suspence throughout the whole book. As he wrote, he made it seem like you were experiencing everything right along with the characters. He made it so real, at some points it was like the main character, Laura, was my best friend, and I was experiencing every situation first hand. This book was by far ranking amoungst the top ten books I have ever read. I can't wait to read more books by Dean Koontz.

Review: When I brought this book I put it on the headboard of my bed. MY MISTAKE!!!!!!!!! I got sick and had nothing to do but read. I picked up this book and could not and i repeat could not put it down. i took it every where. I loved it. It made me cry it made me laught it made me think. The romance was wonderful. Her son was a great charactor. Mr. Koontz out did himself on this one.

Review: I absolutely loved this book! Dean Koontz can really hold your attention! I loved his other books-House of Thunder, Watchers, Strangers, Phantoms, and Whispers. I recommend these books too. I don't understand how people can write a review about Koontz and say anything bad! How can you compare him with Stephen King? King takes too long to get to the point. I want some action and quickly! Lightning does this without question! I was really surprised at the answer to the question-Where did Stefan come from? I loved all the characters too. Highly recommend it!
