Summary: Save your money
Review: This book could have been a lot better if the author had managed to keep the characters in character. The major premise of the book is that Princess Leia might marry some guy she's just met in order to seal an alliance between his mother's government and the New Republic. This despite the fact that she's clearly in love with Han Solo. If that doesn't seem bad enough, Han responds to this by kidnapping- kidnapping! -Leia in order to talk some sense into her.

I'd really like to give this book half a star, or no stars.

Summary: A Bit too Farfetched...Even for Star Wars
Review: There were things about this novel that intrigued me, but the majority of it had me scratching my head in utter dismay. I felt in no way threatened by this new rival for Leia's affections even if he does share some of the roguish, charismatic attributes which make Han Solo one of the most spectacular characters ever created. No one could seriously believe that the princess would ever consider leaving her "scruffy-headed nerf herder" even if it meant losing one of the most powerful alliances that the New Republic could ask for. I also found the idea of witches riding around on rancors to be questionable at best. However, there are some good battle sequences and enough Star Wars fun to at least give this one an average rating.

Summary: Very Good, A little weird, but hey, its science fiction!
Review: This is probably up there with my favorite SW books. It's funny too. At first I thought Dave Wolverton was really insane, but now I realize the guy's a genious!!!!! I thought Luke was portrayed very, very well. He is probably my favorite character and some writers make him too stiff or serious. I mean he needs to have some fun too. The scene where he is talking with Isolder and his mother is a very funny one as well. Dathomir is awsome and the witches are way cool.
One thing I didn't like so much was how Leia totally dropped Han Another problem I had with this book was that Han was so desperate. He has always been so cool and collected but going and kidnaping Leia and draging her off seems a little extereme.
The last thing I have to say is thai book filled in something the movies and the Zahn books left open. That is when were Leia and Han married? Well read on!!!!!!(oh yeah, Recomended for everyone)

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: This is a good book because it shows that Han and Leia's relationship is not perfect. They have their own problems too. I think it is kind of unrealistic as well, I mean, would Leia really dump Han that quickly? Anyway, Prince Isolder is from the Hapes cluster and is trying to marry Leia. In a last ditch attempt to keep this from happening, Han steals Leia and takes her to the planet Dathomir. Luke and Isolder team up to find them. I think that if you're looking for a good book o sit down and read, that this would work.

Summary: Continuous Courtship
Review: " I'd just as soon kiss a Wookie!" This is a famous quote of Princess Leia's. It shows her attitude unlike anything else. That is why i enjoyed " The courtship of princess leia", because Wolverton kept her attitude the same as it was written by George Lucas. I also marveled at how the book fit perfectly into place behind " The Return of the Jedi.". I am a huge Star Wars fan, and was at first hesitant to read any Star Wars books that wern't written by Lucas, but Wolverton kept all the same principles that were in the movies and put them in his action and Force filled book.

Summary: The Courtship Of Princess Leia
Review: Well, I expected more fights and more spacebattles and more action, but in this story they are stuck for about 75% of it on a planet that made me remember Endor with Tatooine. The story is not that good, Leia after all what she's been through with Han is not sure of her feeling towards him and kind of dates Prince Isolder. There aren't many battles, there are witches that have Force powers but they have to speak to be able to make them happen, they think of Luke as more powerful because he has powers and doesn't speaks while using them. Actually 2.5 stars, this is the second Star Wars book I've read, the first one was the Jedi Apprentice: The Rising Force, I'm about to start what's supposed to be the best one of the expanded universe novels, Heir To The Empire I hope for it to be really good given to all the good reviews.

Summary: WHAT?!?!?
Review: After destroying two Death Stars together... after spending months searching for Han's carbonite corpse... after risking life and limb to rescue him from Jabba the Hutt... after confessing their love under GUNFIRE on Endor...

Princess Leia turns around and jumps into the arms of the first interplanetary prince to come along, just because he has a fleet that might be usefull to the Rebellion? Puh-LEEZE!

Not only was the premise not plausible, it wasn't even well written. The characterization was nothing short of inaccurate (Han Solo gambles away the Falcon to win a planet for Leia... right!) and the storyline was fragmentary and elusive.

And the worst part was the ending. I'll leave it to you to discover, but don't expect a thrill or even logic. I'm not into corny in my Star Wars books. Stick with Timothy Zahn.

Summary: Oh yeah baby
Review: This book was by far my favorite Star Wars book. It was immensely funny, not like some of the other ones I have read. I think Dave Wolverton did an extremely good job portraying the emotions of the characters, as well as carrying on the witty, dry humor from the movie that I so cherished and loved. Teneniel and her whole race fascinate me. I think it's totally funny the way they can just take men as slaves and mate with them whenever they want. Isolder was a good character too. Leia and her struggle between Isolder and Han was great, and I am so glad that it didn't end up the way we all know it could have. Han was really funny, and as he is one of my favorite characters as well, I thought this book portrayed his emotions really well. And a note to gebecca (who also wrote a customer review) I love your comment about the pants. I did a double take when I read that part. I wasn't quite sure if Leia would ever actually say that. Keep your eye out for that in the book- it is seriously funny. Luke's character was a little shallow but I've never found any books that weren't like that. Well I think it's a great book any way and you should all read it!

Summary: This book ROCKS!!
Review: I thought this was a fabulous book. I couldn't put it down for one second. I praise you, Dave Wolverton, for writing anmazing chapter in the Star Wars saga.

Unlike some of the other Star Wars books I have read, I think this one portrays emotions extremely well. I absolutely love the way Leia is constantly torn between Han and Isolder. I think the resolution of this book is great, too. Luke is good in the book but my favorite character by far is Teneniel. Her whole race fascinates me. The way they take male slaves and mate with them whenever they want is really funny. One of my favorite quotes is Han saying "Kiss my wookie". I seem to remember something in The Empire Strikes Back about that, except Leia was instead implying she would rather kiss a wookie than kiss Han, to which he retorted "I can arrange that." Continuing on with the dry humor which was so well portrayed in the movie, there are some immensely funny bits in this book.

I think this is a great novel and I advise every single one of you to read it. It is funny, sad (well, not really) adventurous and thought-provoking. You will love this book. I guarantee it.

Summary: Star Wars: The Courtship of Princess Leia
Review: The New Alliance is weakened and tries to gain the support of sixty-three worlds that have held off the Empire for years. This is the star system of Hapes. In order for them to join the New Alliance,Princess Leia must marry the Queen's son. But Han Solo does not like this decision and takes Leia to the planet of Dathomir to make her change her mind. Unknown to Han,Dathomir is inhabited by bands of witches that have the power of the force. There is one band if released from the planet can destroy the entire universe.

This book is one of the better star wars books. It is not too long and it does not get dull. I recommed this book to every star wars fan.
