Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS THE WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER BOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: This book is a piece of crap!. Don't bother buying it because their is no chance that you will like it. It has the stupidest plot, Princess Leia falls in love with some prince from he Hapes cluster, and Han kidnapps her. They smash the Falcon into a chip which blows up but miraculously they leave unscrached. Hmmm.... Thats a little unreal fr even a Star Wars Novel. Once they are down an evil fleet of some imperial ships are on the hunt for them Han, Chewie and Leia walk along until they run into, get this 4 imperial walkers event though the small prison base on the planet is supposed to only have 1 skiff ond no space craft. The book goes on and on in which out of the entire galaxy for no apparent reason Luke stubles on Yoda's original Jedi Trainign ship. But he gets attacked by this girl who has barely any powers and he loses. She takes him and the Prince to be her, "Love Slaves" something like that. THIS BOOK SUCKS PLESE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD DO NOT BUY OR LISTEN TO ANY OF THE OTHER BOOK REVIEWS. I AM RIGHT THEY ARE WRONG TRUST ME ON THIS SUBJECT I KNOW HOW BAD THIS STUOID BOOK IS. THIS BOOK WAS SO BAD I THOUGHT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS BOOK. AND REMEMBER FRIENDS DON'T LET OTHER FRIENDS BUY THE COURTSHIP OF PRINCESS LEIA. THE CRAPPIEST BOOK IN THE UNIVERSE. IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUKS T SUCKS IT SUCKS. And if you are asking then why did you read the whole thing you, well........... I have no answer for that just remember. IT SUCKS
Rating: Summary: This is the best Star Wars book I have read so far. Review: I've read about 10 of the Star Wars books, and the Courtship of Princess Leia is my favorite of all of them. Dave Wolverton gave the story a feel as if I was watching one of the movies. It has a lot of the romantic things between Han and Leia that you would see in one of the Star Wars movies. I liked all of the storylines in the book, and all were very intresting. There was never a boring storyline that you would want to skip over it. This is a great book. I can't wait to read the next Dave Wolverton book. I definitely recomend that you read this book if you like Star Wars at all
Rating: Summary: This book was incredible!!!!!!!!! Review: This book flawlessly combined character development and action. It had an amazingly clever plot, and it was so descriptive I felt as if i was there. Once I began reading, I couldn't put it down. I would sit and read for hours upon hours until I was finished... and then I just wanted to read it again! Dave Wolverton has proven that he is one of the best science fiction writers around.
Reading this book would certainly be no mistake. It is definitely worthy of the Star Wars saga, as it claims. It made me feel good that all the same characters were together again, and the comradeship of the people was what made the book so amazing. This book is a must read if you are a Star Wars fan. The reason I gave it a nine, however, was that they didnt give a lot of background information, so you didn't have much to go on unless you already knew the basic concept-but that isnt a problem for readers who are fans.
Rating: Summary: I love this book!!!!!!! Review: Out off all the Star Wars books I have read this is the best. I am a huge Han and Leia fan so it's no doubt that I would love this book but still, all the action scenes are terrific and the new characters are all so great! (I'm seeing how many different enthusiastic adjectives I can use) Wolverton manages to keep all the characters... well, in character while still having cute and romantic parts. I loved Threepio's pathetic atempts at winning Leia back for Han. Some were so hillarious! The Nightsisters and the witches were cool and I don't know how this happened but I didn't hate Isolder so much at the end. I wonder how Dave Wolverton did that. I couldn't put this book down until it was finished. (I'm serious, I did not eat, sleep, or move from my bedroom for 17 hours) I recommend this book for anyone who loves Han and Leia or 300 pages of strictly force fighting (cool
Rating: Summary: a great story Review: It is one of the
few Star Wars novels that successfully combined an
emotional storyline (romance and all) with the action fans have grown to expect.
Rating: Summary: Coolness! Review: This book tells us more of that mysterious essence called the Force. In every book, SOMETHING new is told to us, but this one, I feel, tells us more than most. There is no easy victory, and nothing is as it seems. While the book is not a romance, it carries the whole love story of Han and Leia vey well. All in all, this is probably my favorite Star Wars book I have ever read. (that does no include the original Triligy
Rating: Summary: Geez, it wasn't THAT great, guys. Review: This was, I thought, one of the lesser of the books. A more appropriate title would be "The Kidnapping of Princess Leia", since that's what eventually happens, in just one of the book's absurdities. They end up on the planet Dathomir, which is FULL of Force-weilding people, some good, and some bad. (these being the evil Nightsisters) I guess when Yoda told Luke the last of the Jedi is he, he was talking in the literal sense. Oh, and just to make things interesting, they ride Rancors, which are ACTUALLY fairly intelligent beasts. The first half of the book is fairly boring, but at least it picks up in the second half, which ends up turning into an all-out Force war between the sides. If you can ignore the weirdness, that is. Hey, did I mention that the good Dathomirian women LITERALLY hunt for their mates? They go off riding until they find a man to lasso. Sounds more like a sick fantasy to me
Rating: Summary: Better than most of the single Star Wars books! Review: This book is better than most of the other single released books like Truce at Bakura or Crystal Star. The scene is laid about 2-3 years after Return of the Jedi. Han and Leia find themselves unsure of marriage, which is the entry point for the Prince of Hapes, who is prince of over seventy planets, wants to court Leia and will join the alliance on the pretext only. Feeling threatened by this man, Han kidnaps Leia to the planet Dathomir, which he won in a game of sabaac. The Prince and Skywalker follow him to the planet, where it is discovered that jedi live. There is a war taking place between the Light and the Darkside in which the characters become wrapped up in. It isa very enjoyable book
Rating: Summary: This is one of the more unusual and good books in the series Review: This is one of the freshest and most engaging Star Wars novels written in a long time. The plot is original and the characters, from Prince Isolder to Teneniel, are believeable and likeable.(when they are supposed to be likeable) The conflicts are well crafted and the story sparkles. Good Work
Rating: Summary: Best SW book so far! Review: Out of all the Star Wars books I know and love, this one takes its rightful place as the best. With an excellent mix of ground and space battles, as well as the intrigue we've all come to expect from any SW book, you should find Star Wars: The Courtship pf Princess Leia an easy read and very enjoyable. Dave Wolverton did an excellent job as a new comer to the Star Wars Universe. Bravo!
