Rating: Summary: Brilliant, a great sum-up of Han And Leia! Review: I had been urged to read this book by my friend - also a manic Star Wars freak like me! It was an easy book to read and very enjoyable. It is the begining of Luke becoming a Jedi Master. Leia is forced to marry the Queen of Hapes son, Prince Isolder. Han being extremly jealous kidnaps Leia and takes her to the untame world of Dathomir - Watch out for the nightsisters! I would recomend this book to anyone, especially Star Wars fans as it portrays the begining of Han and Leia starting a family. A good book, enjoyable and intencly mysterious. This, you must read!! Rating: Summary: This is the best STAR WARS book out there Review: This is by far the best star wars book ever writen. The plot is fast moving and very exciting. The characters are well develope and interesting. This is a great book, but be warned, it is extremely addictive.
Rating: Summary: What a bad book! Review: Wow, I thought this was by far one of the worst Star Wars books ever written. First of all it lacked the magic that the movies had. I mean at the end of the book I was just kind of filled with an empty feeling. Second it was a little on the gory side which isn't like Star Wars at all. All in all this was a bad book.
Rating: Summary: awsome Review: great star wars book. the best. Much better than all the other star wars authors. Huge space battles , realistic charecterizations. A mega hit. The best Star Wars book ever.
Rating: Summary: My favorite star wars novel Review: Wolverton is a great author. Unlike Zahn's peety little space skirmishes , Wolverton has huge space battles that fit the star wars galaxy better. Zsinj is a true Warlord and has a fleet to back up his claim , unlike Thrawn. Also charecterization is MUCH better than Zahn, [who has created] some very fake, unrealistic charecters. Han Solo , in this book , has a softer side. I espically like the part at the end where liea almost cried because she was so happy. Zsinj is awsome , espically if you read about him in the X-wing series. Gethezerion is scary too. I seriously hope Wolverton wrrites other star wars books. He definetly has a better grip than any other author I know to date.
Rating: Summary: Well written, and captivating Review: Although I've only read one other Star Wars book( The Paradise Snare: Han Solo Trilogy ) I thought it was extremly good, and well written. One thing I don't like about Star Wars, are the names. Some are hard to even read let alone say them. Other than that fact, I LOVED it. :-)
Rating: Summary: excellent book , the best!! Review: Excellent , well written and charecterized star wars book by Wolverton , much better than Zahn and the others. The only thing that confused me was the star destroyer they fought at the end called the Iron Fist. was it the Super Star Destroyer (hich is suposed to have been destroyed) or was it Zsinj's origanal Victory Star Destroyer? otherwise the best star wars book.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! NOthing comes close except the young jedi knights Review: This book was the best book that had to do with the original Star Wars characters.(Luke Skywalker,Princess Leia,And everyones favorite pirate Han Solo.)My favorite.Action-packed,full of humor and romance. Also it has to deal with my favorite character out of the whole Star Wars universe:Tenel Ka(star Wars young jedi knights)Well it has to do with her parents. But in short I definitly recommmend this book.I think it definitly keeps up with the fast-paced life in a galaxy far,far away.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST STAR WARS BOOK Review: Great job Wolverton!!!! Wolverton should be the only Star wars author. His charecters seem so real. they talk natural! they say "hi" "ok" and "yeah". Not "indeed" , "agreed" , or any of the other-unatural-slightly rehearsed lines other authors use (thanks to timothy zahn , ofcourse).charecters feel stress and act natural , they dont act cool and calculated all the time.Wolverton is also the only one to take everything on a large scale. hundreds of warships and massive space battles , not the "I have a star destroyer and i will conquer the galaxy" attitude of the other authors. The witches of Dathomir , whats wrong with them? people say the dont "fit" in the star wars galaxy. what? it's a group of primitive untamed force users. I wrote this reveiw years after i read the book. i ve read every star wars book , including the recent I,Jedi and Iron Fist , and wolverton's style is the only one i liked. TO A! LL STAR WARS FANS , TRUST ME ON THIS!!!!
Rating: Summary: A pinch of New Republic, a dash of Empire... Review: This was one of the best books I've ever read! The fights in the book were exciting and breath taking. The last battle at the end of the book was the best, although it was sort of like in SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE, where it mixed the Empire, the New Republic and the Hapes. Great book, and one to relax in!
