Summary: Steal this book!
Review: This was the most fun I've had reading in a long time. I was impressed at how "real" everything was, how sensory, crystal clear. Even complex plotting and description came through like I was in the scene.

I must make special mention of the dialogue: Excellent! My favorite line: "The army will now feed." It reads like a deliciously demented screenplay.

Get your hands on this book however you can; borrow it and don't return it. It promises the liveliest series you have ever read.

Summary: Literate, Layered, Lovely
Review: This is vividly descriptive, evocatively written and intensely personal. You'll see the landscapes, and feel them. I have to admire a book in which so many people are both good guys and bad guys, where there are SO many bad guys, and they are not just targets for the good guys to shoot at, where even the good guys are bad guys, but you root for them anyway. Achmed fans unite! I would go on, but I'm planning to reread it just for the language. I loved it.

Summary: Great Book
Review: I can't believe this is a first novel. It has great characters and they're wonderfully drawn. The turns in the story make it refreshing and exciting. Everyone I have shared this with has enjoyed something different in it. It definitely does cross genres; it gets raves from all sorts of fans who normally never go near fantasy.

Summary: Sure to be a hit!
Review: I have heard about this book for so long, and it is the topic of every book discussion I have heard lately. I hate series ever since I got tangled in the Web of Time and have vowed never again to get caught up in one. But curiosity won out and I had to check out this book. I am so glad i did!

Rhapsody is my favorite fantasy heroine of all time, mcuh better than Honor Harrington. She is not the whiney jealous witch and not a warrior princess or a flake. She has real strength and weaknesses and by the time the book was over I was feeling everything she was feeling. This is a sign of a master author and I am so glad Elizabeth Haydon entered this field.

This book is sure to be a hit!

Summary: Destined to be a classic
Review: My wife gave this to me for our anniversary, and it has givenme a great deal of reading pleasure. RHAPSODY is a marvelous fantasyalong the order of the Stewart Merlin books, the Farseer trilogy and the best of George R. R. Martin.

I think Achmed the assassin is one of the great all time characterizations in fantasy. This particulat character jumped off the page from the very beginning, and had me intrigued throughout.

Summary: A perfect book for a long night
Review: It's cold where I live. I loved this book. It gave me many hours of terrific reading curled up by the fireplace.

As a lover of things dragon I was fascinated in particular with the character of Ashe. I can't wait to see how things progress in the sequel.

Summary: Have You Read this Book? Really?
Review: I am absolutely amazed at some of the brazen remarks that have been made about this piece of literature. Elizabeth Haydon, rather than trying to follow the same dusty path as others, has tried something new, and it was fantastic. She was able to take her skills and knowledge of our world and was able to create as vivid and real a fantasy world as any I have ever seen. She is a master story-teller, and here she tells a beautiful story. Elizabeth Haydon created characters that I was sincerely fond of, and through her prose, I was there with them. She transported me out of this mundane world, and let me experience her world, the world of Rhapsody. I have only found a handful of authors with that ability. As for the bad reviews out there, I wonder if they even bothered to read this work. It was one of the best works I have read, and Haydon will be a well known name in fantasy in the years to come.

Summary: Magical Transportation
Review: Run, don't walk, to your nearest store, library, or, best of all, order this book from Amazon right away! It will take you to a world so real you will think it must have existed somewhere on this planet in a more magical time. The author has a command of the senses and can make you feel with wind, or smell a crackling bonfire, without taking 100 pages to do it.

After reading the few anonymous reviews dunning this book, I can only assume that there is some sort of magic at work here as well--they are clearly mistaking it for some other book [or they have an ax to grind]. The writing here is so good that I found my own emotions mirroring the action in the book.

Don't lose out on the chance to read something really special because of a few nasty comments. This book and this author deserves better than that, and so do we, the readers.

Summary: A breath of fresh air
Review: Elizabeth Haydon has produced a book of great depth and humor, with a wit and style that is refreshing in the sometimes stale genre of fantasy literature. She's a bright new talent that will shine for a long time to come!

Summary: The best fantasy I've ever read
Review: What a great book! This is by far the best fantasy I have ever read. The characters are stellar and the plot is innovative, suspenseful and gripping. I'd give it 100 stars if I could.
