Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Pretty good Review: I have read many of the modern masters of fantasy including Hobb, Jordan, Goodkind and others. I feel this author has come pretty close with this book to the quality that some of the greats have in their books. This book wasn't a 5 star book, but I felt it was engaging enough to merrit 4 stars. I am always looking for a new slant on the age old (and sometimes tired) fantasy genre, and this book provided it. This is not just another Atlantis story, but a continuation of this idea, almost like stephen lawheads series about king arthur. I was a little dissapointed with the character development, but otherwise i thought it was a good read, and worth it to buy in hardcover.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Really good - but very slow in one part Review: I am about 75% done with this one and I like it a lot. The Amber novels by Zelazny are better, but this is good if you've read everything by your favorite SF/F author.Take my advice and skip the 'underground/root' part!

This is absolutly the best fantasy/adventure book I have read! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read and has A LOT of time on thier hands.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A new author a new out look Review: You will loose a weekend with this one. I had a very good time. Strong characters with a new twist on magic. I want to read more about Rhapsody but alas the first in a long series I hope. Write fast Elizabeth, I can't wait for the next volume. I have been reading fantasy for 20 years and this book was a pleasant break from the expected.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Kudos to Rhapsody! Review: What a great book. Thank you Ms Haydon for giving me an incredible weekend lost in Rhapsody's world. I can't believe this is a first novel, and I can't wait to read the next installment. The 3 main characters(Rhapsody,Achmed & Grunthor) are really alive and fleshed out,the action is well written and each chapter leaves you wanting more. My only complaint was that the middle of the book dragged just a bit,it felt as though pages were written just to increase the length to the story, otherwise I would whole-heartedly recommend this book to anyone, even those not into the "fantasy" genre. Looking forward to book 2 in the series with great anticipation!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A very well written book Review: I think that this was a VERY well written book and is a must read for anyone who likes fantasy. One of the best parts about the book to me was that the magic actually made sense.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I Love This Book Review: This was a wonderful book, fresh and different. The protagonists are characters that are unlike any in the fantasy genre. The descriptions are deep and beautiful, the history is interesting, and most of all, THE MAGIC MAKES SENSE! This is a finely crafted, well-told story.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Amazingly Refreshing, An All Around Great Read Review: After a month of searching for a decent, no amazing, new fantasy book (I can't remember when the exact release date was for a man named Duncan's last book) I have been not only pleasantly suprised but astounded by the gold mine that this book consists of. It is a book that is packed full of timely comments and hilarious remarks while still not turning the novel into a joke. Indeed, it comes off with the perfect blend of humor while still keeping it's doomsday aura about it. The main characters are easy to relate to, they aren't the classic she is good to the bone and he is pure evil that has become so common plac. They come off as devestatingly human and you will find yourself emersed in them, smiling at their jokes, feeling anger at their pain, and thinking of them more as people than characters in a book. The plot is griping, mysterious, and filled with a wild array of twists. The veiw of the author towards magic is as refreshing as the rest of the book. A word of warning though: be careful when you start to read this book. Your friends and family may get irritated when you refuse to put it down.
