Summary: This book is awesome!! A must for Resident Evil fans!
Review: I love Resident Evil. This book was outstanding. S.D. Perry magnificently establishes characterization by telling about each character's background (even Joseph, Brad, and all the Bravos!) and tells the story from each character's perspective (mainly Chris, Jill, Barry, Wesker, Rebecca, and even Brad!). It also tells and describes the Umbrella conspiracy very vividly, so if you didn't understand the video game or just want to know more about the thrilling story, then this book is a definite addition to your Resident Evil collection! Even if you haven't played the video game and don't know much about REsident Evil then you should still get this book and it will explain it all thoroughly. It captures the scariness effect of the video game and the mystery aspect as well. You will find that you can't put this spectacular book down! I like it better than the video game!!

Summary: Review
Review: S. D. Perry's Resident Evil, The Umbrella Conspiracy was a great book. If you liked the game, you'll love the book. It handles the action and plot well and describes each persons perspective of the adventure extremely well. It's written from multiple characters points of view with obvious exaggeration to increase the intensity of the horror. Flashbacks occur during the conflicts with the zombies to show the personalities of the characters that are trying to survive. Foreshadowing was another literary device that Perry uses in this novel to keep the readers interested and full of suspense. A negative about this book is that Perry expects the reader to know the environment, mood, and origin of each character in this novel from playing the game so would make the story difficult to follow if you have never played the game. This story follows the adventure of a special task force referred to as S.T.A.R.S. They have been called in to investigate mysterious happenings in an old abandoned mansion, or at least they think it is abandoned. Can they escape this mansion and survive; you'll have to read this book to find out. If you like scary books, you'll be glad you did.

Summary: R.E. the Book---WHY?
Review: When I first saw the book I thought it would be a new perspective on the events at the mansion, maybe from a new character or two (a couple hikers) that entered the mansion the day before. Instead, we are taken through the same story-line as the video game, which came across as a little redundant. Perry relies too much on the idea that the reader has already played the game, and expects the reader to know the enviroment and mood of the book. She does not do a good job of describing the mansion, or the origin of the creatures. I would have liked a story of the mansion itself before its downfall. The idea of what went on in the building and how it became over-run sounds more interesting then reliving the video game scene by scene. But, it is the only R.E. book out there, so I will suggest you read it based soley on that. But, again, it follows the game so closely that you can always predict what happens in the next paragraph.

Summary: A GREAT START FOR RESIDENT EVIL
Review: If you played the game before reading the book then you already know what happens, but to a person who has not (like me) then this is a great book to get into. It has all suspense and action you need from a book that is only 6 bucks. It also has a cool feature in the book where you can actually read the logs of the victims in the story, which helps bring the horror right into the book. The ending was predictable however and some of the characters really needed to die in my honest opinion, but the book really does start the series on a good foot. If you are really bored then this book is a good read that you can not put down.

Summary: Itchy. Tasty.
Review: Perhaps you don't understand the title of my review, once you read the book you will :) This book is one of my favorites I could not even EAT on my lunch break, all I did was read - it's so addictive. It explaines the characters backgrounds, you learn more and more every time you flip a page. The interesting thing is was to find out how the whole zombie-thing got started. This book does have some sense of humor to it too! I found that very pleasing. The book describes the death's of how the people from the game died, also describes (not everywhere) who the zombies were before they got turned into flesh-eaters. I hope my review helps you step into the light, get this book and you will not be dissapointed.

Summary: a gorey classic!
Review: I am only a 12 year old reader and i love this book. I Beat this game a couple of months after it came out it and took me 2 months to figure out how to do it! But it was defintly one of may favorite games of all time. This books is gorey and has some cursing in it so it should be for mature readers. Even if you never played the games you will love this book!
