Review: This book is the best i have all of the resident evil books and I have to say this is the best of them. It makes you feel like you are Chris or Jill going around a corner...then BOOM! A zombie or hunter pops at you. Also sometimes it feels like you have butterflys in your stomach, just from reading a part of the book! This book is great even if your new to the seris your a veteren like me!

Summary: As Good As The Game
Review: If you read this book before playing the game, all I can say is that it's as good as a cheat book. You find out how to find all the puzzle pieces, find out where the traps are and about the different kinds of monsters. Perry made a great attempt at creating an exciting, adventerous book and for those who love the resident evil games, they will love it even more. Perry gives the characters some depth and also works outside the game, giving it a unique quality. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys si-fi or just a good read. An excellent book, 5 stars.

Summary: The beginning
Review: Well S.D Perry you've done good! First of all I waould say its a great book. It's not as scary as reading Clive Barker or as tricky as reading Dean R Koontz. but I must say it's a great book. It wakes up old fright about being alone in a mansion.

As for the People in the story they are very clever writer, and the story is easy to read. It is not a book full of surprise, but still it keeps the reader wanna to read more.

If you have played the Game, you should really read it, because you have the rooms and the atmosphere in your mind. But if you never have played the game, please read the book, it's maybe I'm exaggeration a little but the story is cunning and scary.

Well Have fun all.!!

Summary: The original that started a trilogy of excellence.
Review: Resident evil depicts horror to the infinite power. Its storyline will keep one addicted, thrilled, scared, and craving for more. S.D. Perry stays faithful to the genre and plot of the successful videogame Resident Evil that was released on PS One.

The Umbrella corporation has created a mutant genetic virus code-named: the T-Virus. This mutant genetic virus was originally created for bio-weapons usage, but was later terminated. A team of elite police officers known as the "S.T.A.R.S" division is put on the case. Their mission is to uncover evidence suspected to be in the vicinity of the Spencer estate.

Once the team discovers Umbrella's secrets they discover a foe beyond our comprehension. Now their mission is to stay alive and escape the Spencer estate. Together they must bring down the genetically infected entities and destroy the Spencer estate.

In conclusion, this book is well suited for young adults and teenagers. For people who enjoy suspenseful, horror genre should consider reading this outstanding book by S.D. Perry.

Summary: REAL SCARY, BUT A VERY GOOD BOOK!!!
Review: This book was great! I could not put it down! It had me scared the whole time I was reading it. It is just like the video game only better in detail. You could really tell what the character was thinking and you could almost feel how they actually felt. This book is the greatest and most gruesomest book I have ever read with a unique story line.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great narration!
Review: Resident Evil, The Umbrella Consieracy is a narration of the first game it the series. I had my doubts, expecting a pale carbon copy of the game. I was wrong! The book follows the game's storyline pretty closely, but it is different enough not to be repetitive. Example: instead of seeing through the eyes of one character, you adventure with everyone (even the bad guy!)

One draw back is that Perry doesn't describe what the characters look like. So if you haven't played one of the games you'll have no idea what the characters are suposed to look like.

This doesn't mean the overall characterization is bad. You really get to know the characters better and how they think to the author's perspective. They seem very realistic. These characters don't do stupid things (and if they do they learn from their mistakes.)These aren't the characters that go into dracula's lair in the middle of the night to kill him when they could wait till dawn. These characters are smart (most of the time.) These character's have feelings. Jill feel's sorry for the sleeping, Tyrant and wishes she could put it out of its misery (at least until it tries to tear her apart...Silly Jill.)
They aren't invicible either. They don't sit there taking hit after hit from zombies and still be "fine." They get hurt, scared, and try to come up with alternative to fighting.

If you haven't played the game you could find yourself feeling lost, but Perry describes enough for it to be a good read even with no knowledge of the games. If you HAVE played the game, you find yourself reminicing. Remember those puzzles that drove you crazy? Who in their right mind would go through all that trouble to make it hard for you? Perry explains that. Which brings me too another point. If you didn't understand the game, the book helps.

A deffinite must read for Resident Evil Fans!

Summary: Great Book!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I enjoy playing the playstaion game very much and when I saw the book I instantly knew I had to buy it.
One of the nice qualities of the book is how it starts out earlier in the day before the S.T.A.R.S. team went out on the mission (in the game it just starts out with them in the 'copter.) It also goes into detail and the thoughts of the characters. I would say that a Resident Evil fan or a sci-fi/horror fan would enjoy this book very much.
When I first bought the book I just couldn't put it down and ended up reading half of it that afternoon! (Its about 300 pages long...just thought you might like to know) I think S.D. Perry is a very talented author and shows it in this very good book.

Summary: The Game but portable
Review: Im not a huge fan of the game but did enjoy it...My brother then told me about the novel and i started searching high and low for it and no book store would order it for me (which was wierd) i then joind amazon and there it was.
The book follows the game nearly exactly but with an initial run up to the start of the game explaining how it all started. If you have never played the game the book isnt going to make a lot of sense as Perry doesnt describe the characters look so you have no idea what they look like. She has had to change a few things so it could be made into the book and it is pulled off really well...I pray the other books are as good
