Rating: Summary: One Excellent book! Review: This is a good book. When I first bought the book,I had real interest in Resident Evil, the book or game. This book got me hooked! S.D. Perry is a great writer. This book went into depth on the characters and gave great details in the fight scenes with the monsters. This is a must buy!
Rating: Summary: Not bad Review: This book was a pretty good adaptation of the video game. I wish the author had been a bit more inventive in novelizing it, however the game has a good narrative structure to begin with. At least it isn't near as awkward a translation from game to novel as Doom. I was entertained reading The Umbrella Conspiracy and plan to read the rest of the novels. I'm curious to see what Perry does without a template for telling a Resident Evil story.
Rating: Summary: IT FELT LIKE I WAS THERE!! Review: If you love the video game or just want to know alittle more about it, buy this book. You will not be able to put it down, I read it in two days. The fights are intense and the character development is great. I didn't know anything about team Bravo tell I read this book. S.D. Perry did incredible job portraying the book to the game. If you love good fight, mysterys, and the compeling battle between good, Evil and zombes!
Rating: Summary: The book was an awesome book and you should buy it at once. Review: This book solved a mystrey for me because I wondered why Barry was always around when Jill got in trouble. The book basically follows the games content with stuff you didn't experiece in the game like conversations between Wesker and Barry. If you liked Resident Evil the game then you will like the book if you hate the game then I wouldn't read it if I were you.
Rating: Summary: This book does the game justice! Review: I was very impressed with the outcome of this book. It was just what any Resident Evil fan could possibly want in a novelization. Two thumbs up S.D. Perry!!!
Rating: Summary: One of the best Video Games Books I have read since Doom. Review: This was an Awesome book full of Monsters, mysteries, and Mazes. But I found that the book lacked detail in the mysteries. I thought more detail should have been put into how some of the puzzles were solved. An example is how did Albert wisker get the Wind cresent from the tiger if he had only one of the two gems. Other then a few details I found the book made up for it in details on the monsters. But I thought the monsters should have been involved more or had a scene based on what the monster was thinking. I all I thought it was a great book.
Rating: Summary: Very good rendering of one of the greatest games of all time Review: I am a huge Resident Evil fan, owning both of the video games, and a number of the toys. I have to say that when I saw an advertisement for the first two Resident Evil books, my eyes nearly burst out of my head. This first book was fantastic! The events leading to the start of the game were fantastic! Perry gave characters that we never knew life and depth. Take Forest for example, we only saw him as a crow eaten corpse,(except on the advanced setting of the director's cut)but in the book we come to know him as a youthful comedian. Or Frost, the first Alpha to fall to the creations of the T-Virus. We now know that he too was a comedian with a love for the Three Stooges. A lot of people say that it was annoying that no one but Jill and Barry got their hands on anything heavier than a 9mm Beretta, but so what!? Honestly, what are you going to do with a bazooka in a room full of zombies? The only thing you would do would be getting yourself killed in the heatlash or shrapnel from the blast. Against Tyrant at a distance, I could see that, but against zombies, that's a little touch of overkill. I could see the team finding some shotguns, magnums, or assault rifles, but anything heavier than that would be a bit of a stretch for the setting. I felt that the battles were graphic and great, portraying the feel of the game well. I liked the fight with Tyrant at the end of the book, as Tyrant was portrayed as a monster that kept on coming(until you introduce him to a concussion grenade launcher, that is), not a guy who goes down after a cylinder of magnum rounds, only to come again. All and all, I thought that the book was fantastic. Congrats to Stephani Danelle Perry for writing a book that truly deserves the title of Resident Evil! Can't wait for the next ones!
Rating: Summary: Great Re-enactment of the game!!!! Don't Hesitate to buy it! Review: It was a good book and it shows a lot of what you couldn't find in the game. Such as all of the conversations that Wesker had with Barry and etc. This isn't one of those cheesy books that comes with game hints or anything. It is all story and all good. BUY IT!
Rating: Summary: A Great Book! Review: The first book in the RE series was great. It really has a great storyline, just like the game If you are a RE nut like myself, you will love this book. If you really like the RE series, try out the Doom series! :-)
Rating: Summary: Kick Ass! Review: This book was so cool. I began to read it and I got so into it that it only took my 2 hours to read. I found it eazy to get into. It tells you about the people before they became S.T.A.R.S. and why they ack the way they do. I sugjest you bye this book if you are a hard core Resident Evil fan then you should get it. I did. :)tguffy
