Rating: Summary: Dissapointment Review: I couldnt understand why this book was getting such good reviews. But then I realized that everyone says they played the game for like 15 mins or so. Ive played All The RE games and beat every one of them And in My opinion their was ALOT more Hapening in the games than what Perry had wrote. I was quite bored with it but i decided that ill read the whole collection before I critisize it I love the Game series And hoped that the books would get better.Half way thru Book 4 I gave up. There Was A big Scene in the game i was waitin to read but it never happened. I think Alot of the key elements of the story were cut out and replaced with the B.S. Like Jill Solving The Puzzle Of The Colored Paintings. If you want better Story That will actually scare you, Play the games. If you Suck at games Buy the Stratey Guide too.
Rating: Summary: Be afraid ,Very afraid Review: the book is so creepy the way S.D PERRY discribed a zombie.it explained things that wasn't in the gameit really scares you, readers you are in for a scare

Review: And the rest just keep getting better. This is amazing what this author has done. i had no past playing resident evil besides what i had played about 20 minutes when i was 12. Ok, seriously i went out and bought both the games. I suck at them but hey. this book works wonders. i read all 5 24/7, i read at applebees, school, in the car, i remember 2 times at applebees w/ dad just reading and reading. I couldnt put these down. I finally finished about 2 weeks later. i checked and a sixth had come out... i havent read the sixth but damn, this author is a god
Rating: Summary: Excellent Portrayal of the Game Review: Now, I'm not a big fan of reading books, but I have beaten this game many many times and figured I'd check it out. I was so surprised to see myself not want to put the book down. This book portrayed the game perfectly, it went from character to character, describing all of their events and what related to the game. It even added a little bit of background events and dialogue that wasn't in the game, such as Wesker's manipulation of Barry to get him on his side. Also Barry's thoughts about the whole situation and having to lead Jill to Wesker. There was also a meeting of the S.T.A.R.S. teams prior to leaving to investigate. If you're looking for a very detailed novel that includes blood, gore, and of course swearing, or maybe you're just a huge fan of the game like me, then I strongly suggest this book. It's not a waste of money.
Rating: Summary: Good Book For Resident Evil Fans Review: I first baught this book nearly 3 years ago after I found out about them on this exact site. I grew up a big fan of video games, and well... who I am I kidding? I still am. But Resident Evil allways stuck out like a sore thumb with it's genious plot and story, easily making it my favorite game. So when I found out they made a game about this game, pardon my pun but I thought it was quite a novel idea. The Umbrella Conspiracy was the very first of the seires I picked up off the shelf, and within an instant I was in the car on the way home reading it. I was allready absorbed in the amazing detail that isn't given within the game. S.D. Perry greatly captures the thoughts of the main and sub characters, giving in-thought comments which can suprisingly be funny at times. She also has a good way of putting extra detail within the story that really ins't a game, but which can also be a bad thing at times, sometimes causing people who know the game to go "What? That didn't happen in the game!". But hey, no author is perfect. I still would highly recomend this game to any Resident Evil fan to at least try.
Rating: Summary: Great book couldn't put it down. Review: I read this book in about 4 to 5 hours breaking only to have a sandwhich and use the restroom. It was a great book which gives a significant amount of detail to the resident evil plotline, expanding in areas the game goes into. Any resident evil fan looking for the detail behind the game should get this book.
Rating: Summary: Chilling, disturbing, and addictive! Review: I've always been into post-Romero living dead stories, games, and movies. But the movie Resident Evil kind of turned me off to the story in general. I do own the games, and as they're classics, I just don't have the time to play them for the amount of time they require to win. I was in a thrift store 5 days ago and found a cruddy copy of this book wedged in a pile of encyclopedias and recipe books. It was $0.25 so I figured I may as well pick it up to read on a flight one day or something. That night I opened it up and decided to read the first chapter before bed... and ended up reading until 7:00am. Within' 2 days I had read this book cover to cover, wishing there was more to read. I do read a lot, although I'm very selective with literature, and usually can't even stay entertained in non-fiction for more than a half hour. Aside from Michael Moore's "Stupid White Men", this book is probably the most addictive and entertaining material I've read in years. It's not a children's book, and it's not at all cheesy. I will hopefully be obtaining the whole series this month.
Rating: Summary: The Best RES Book! Review: I love the RES games, and the books are very good and very discriptive when it come to theme and mood of the story line! Well this is the first book in the series and was loosely based on the game, when I say loosely I mean it has all the characters from the first RES game and in the same location but has a bit of edgey dialoge thrown in that makes these books a must read. You will want to read this during the day, its that creepy, and will have problems putting it down! Read it of you liked the RES video games or even just like horror or consperacy!!!
