Rating: Summary: The first and best "horror" book I have ever read Review: I have always loved Resident Evil, but as soon as the books started making the shelves I loved the series even better! this book inspired me to make my own book on zombies!, you should read this one.
Rating: Summary: The best book I've ever read! Review: This book is an edge of your seat thriller that will leave you wanting more. A must have book from ages 10 and over!
Rating: Summary: A good novel out of a great video game. Review: first off I want to comment on how well the auther novelized the game into the book, and how well he made you feel like your actually chris or Jill walking around inside the mansion. Second I want to say that the detail of the monsters and blood were intense. There were so intense that I had to put the book down for a few seconds to stop and catch my breath cause my heart was pounding so hard and fast! The third thing I want to say about it is that there were a few dissapointments, like there was no colt magnum and no plant 42 battle, Oh! One other dissapointment, there wasn't a bazooka. Overall the intense details and the plot were so powerful that it made up for having no colt, plant42 battle or no bazooka. This is one of my favorite books and if your into science fiction and horror this is a book for you.
Rating: Summary: Perfection!!!! Review: The best game series is perfectly written on paper. Even when I wasn't in control of the characters I felt, saw, and was petrified by the nightmare they encountered. Recommend to all who love Redident Evil and who are looking for a REAL horror story.
Rating: Summary: RESIDENT EVIL #1 is the bomb! Review: This novel is basically like the video game, only you get history and information on the background of the characters. I recommend this book to players of the game and to anyone who enjoys horror. It was action-packed and bloody.
Rating: Summary: Plot lines aside, this book is still just pulp fiction Review: The story's plot is very faithful to the video game; the author omits few key elements in the game, builds on some characters, giving them more substance than they had in the original game, rearranges some key points in the plot that add to a greater sense of unity than that which was achieved in the game; in short, did a pretty good novelization. However, this doesn't elevate it to masterpiece status. It still is, underneath it all, a rather shameless attempt by Capcom to cash in on an already successful franchise, something that they've already done to death by rereleasing their games as director's cuts, director's cuts dual shock versions, and the like. And, disregarding this for a second, it is quite the piece of pulp fiction anyway, easily read, easily enjoyed, and easily forgotten. And it doesn't quite come up to par with the works of Stephen King or Dean Koontz as to its level of scariness. Even so, I still quite enjoyed it, after I quit looking at it for what it could have been, and rather just accepted it for what it was. Most the reviews written were by children, most under the age of twelve. Why their parents let them read this book is not really my business, although I find it rather odd, considering the current hubaloo about violence in video games, stories and movies, and the effects it has on today's children's minds (something I find rather ridiculous, but that's not important to really get into in this review.) As it is, they may like this story now, but trust me, there are better books out there to be had, and anyway, the video game is still more enjoyable. Just make sure you're old enough to play it.
Rating: Summary: If you liked the game you will love the book Review: This was one of the best books I have read. I't tells the story exactly how the game did. This book was the best. I't keeped me on the eged of my seat the whole time. This book told what happened to both of the characters. This is a must have book.
Rating: Summary: RESIDENT EVIL: THE UMBRELLA CONSIPRACY Review: S.D. Perry captured every scary moment in the game and excellently portrayed it in this book. Resident Evil:The Umbrella Consipracy is just as scary as the game. It's enjoyable and well-written, and it stays true to the game!
