Rating: Summary: Good Start Review: Perry did justice to the first RE game straying from the story a few times. The big disappointment was the way she killed Wesker (no justice for the Tyrant). I look forward to the next 3.
Rating: Summary: Good but not perfect Review: I did enjoy this book quite a lot, having played both games to death I was already interested in the characters and Ms. Perry has brought them out successfully. She hasn't strayed from the plot either which is good since so many people do when transfering videogames to a different medium. However she has put all the annoying puzzles in which make it a little tedious and long winded in places. The characters are well rounded but a little more interaction would have been nice. I was hoping it would be scarier too, Perry has a good sense of imagery and it's a shame she doesn't use it more often. Overall worth buying if you like a good read, ESSENTIAL if you're a RE fan
Rating: Summary: This is a keeper. Review: This is one great book. I couldn't put it down once I started reading. I was unsure about whether to buy it or not, but then I did. I'm glad I did. Everything from the game started to make even more sense once I finished the book. And the combining of the two adventures was excellently executed. This is by far one of the best books I've read in a while.
Rating: Summary: Highly related to the video game! Review: This is a great book! I have played the video game but haven't finished it. So I thought I would pick up the book and give it a try. It is a very addicting book. How the author used details and described the monsters in such a way. You could actually see in your mind an image of them. Also, the best part I would say would have to be the ending! So check it out for yourself if you're into Resident Evil!
Rating: Summary: It was the best book I ever read!--Jimmy Burne Massapequa NY Review: The book was great. I was surprised that at the end!I played the game for Playstation and the computer and the book was even better, it had every turn, zombie, door, locks, ect... I have never read that much in my life, but I read this book in a few days and its 262 pages and I'm only 11. I loved it!!
Rating: Summary: This book brings you back to the game Review: I really liked this book because I never played the game until two weeks I got the book. The story was there and brong more into it. I really love the story of resident evil. But sometimes if you have the game you shouldn't get it because it ruins the story. But if you are a resident evil fan or never heard I highly request this book.
Rating: Summary: A Mediocre Novel on a really silly game. Review: S.D. Perry is a decent writer but her best work seems to be only the Aliens paperback series. Resident Evil never had a good story to begin with. Heck, Resident Evil wasn't even an original game at all. It's a big rip off of the old PC game Alone in the Dark by Capcom, a stupid software developer who makes crappy titles. And the book, while a bit better, doesn't help Resident Evil much. If you want good some good novels or stories, do yourself some good and check out authors like William Gibson, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, or Kevin J. Anderson.
Rating: Summary: stuck pretty close to the origal story. Review: on the upside it was cool how they blended jill and chris's separate adventures into one story that made sense. on the downside, Wesker was not killed by the chimaera, he was slain by Tyrant. and they didnt have the battle between chris/jill and Tyrant in the lab.
Rating: Summary: A good novelization to the game Review: Was thinking this was going to be another "Doom" novelization (aka - good game, crappy books) but after reading through, that was all changed. This is a great read and worth the money. And it will enhance your enjoyment of the game after reading it. Mostly because it fills in a few questions on what some of the people were thinking and doing during throughout the game.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST!! Review: I got this book when it first came out. I never played the game so I didn't know what to expect. I read this great novel in one day, without putting it down. What made this so great was how realistic it was. From the murders and the huge conspiracy, which almost everyone was apart of, made this book a suspensful ride. I still read it over again, which is why this is one of the best books I have ever read.
