Rating: Summary: BEST BOOK EVER!! Review: ITS ABOUT TIME LUKE AND MARA GOT HOOKED UP!! CALLISTA BETTER NOT SHOW UP AND RUIN THE RELATIONSHIP!! KEEP ON WRITING!!I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THEIR MARRIAGE!! OTHER THAN THAT, THIS BOOK IS THE BEST ONE EVER WRITTEN IN THE WHOLE GALAXY!
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Books Written in Star Wars Universe. Review: I have to thank Tim Zahn for straightening out all the misguided authors that made Luke whimpie and Han a babysitter. He gave us a stronge character in Luke and finally gave him a mate. From Zahn's first trilogy, I felt the electricity between Mara and Luke and waited years and so many authors and there was nothing! It was infuriating! But with Zahn's conclusion to the BDD Star Wars reign, he gave us a new direction that doesn't include the Empire and Luke will hopefully have a family and Jedi of his own. I hope Del Rey is smart enough to see a wonderful author and not let other stuff get in the way to signing him on. Mike Stackpole, KKRusch are also wonderful authors that did it right! I for one want these characters to go on and on!
Rating: Summary: Oh My!!!! Review: My first words when I finished reading this book at 2 am were:"Oh My God". This book is definetly the best Star Wars book ever. I simply loved the way Zahn ended this saga that has been continuing in over 30 books and over 20 SW years. He opened a whole new chapter and endless possibilities to new books, comics and hopefully movies. I love Star Wars, but all good things must come to an end(my favourite phrase btw.), and Zahn did just that.
Rating: Summary: Great Until the end Review: This book is really an exciting conclusion to Star Wars by Bantam Books. It closes up a lot of the gaps in the universe and just plain satisfies everybody. However, the very ending of the book is concluded just too quickly. This is very similar to Zahn's orginial work and leaves you with somewhat of an empty feeling inside. It only makes one wonder how much better this novel would be if the conclusion was worked on a little more.
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!!! Review: Don't miss this book if you are a Star Wars fan. After reading things like The Crystal Star or The Corellian Trilogy, you'll think that your big time has finally come. Zahn has the ability of making things happen the way we always thougt they should be.I wonder why there were so many bad books before. Every mistake that was said or done before, Zahn explains in this book, and finally Luke really feels as the Luke we know from Star Wars films. Leia and Han too.
Rating: Summary: Flying High Review: Wow. That pretty much sums up this book. I love the direction Zahn took here. Other authors took way too much liberties with the genius Zahn started in the Star Wars post movie novels. Jade's character had long been neglected, but this book corrects this as well as some other mistakes previous authors had made. Bravo Zahn! Please keep up the good work.
Rating: Summary: I can only give it five stars? Review: This is definitely the most fantastic book of all time! It's got something for everybody: adventure, suspense, mystery, and even romance. The characters are as wonderful as ever, especially when set in as dazzling a plot as this one. And the ending, well, let's just say that I wonder about the mental health of the alleged Star Wars fan who misses this one, because, let's face it, if you don't read it, you're probably just a wannabe. Anyone who gives it less than five stars is a liar or a fool. There isn't a number to express how many stars I'd give this book if I could.
Rating: Summary: A point.... Review: I've read all the reviews, and I agree with most of them. It was an excellent book by any standard. But here is The best part about it. In one graceful, fell, all-encompassing swoop, Zahn has done 3 incredibe things. A: Told a great Star Wars story that managed to clean up all of the little cliche'd paradoxes left over by other authors. B: Managed to finally change the whole nature of the setting by altering the relationships of many of the major characters, and, most of all, ran up and said "No more Empire for you." This is great. No more "last ditch effort by some long-lost Imperial Warlord to win against the Rebellion" (an idea which Zahn himself created). C: Even while doing this, the author still allowed for many more stories by opening up the whole Unknown Regions for exploration and conflict. Absolutely Masterful
Rating: Summary: Great, great book! I have read only a couple this good! Review: The plot is wonderful, and the creatures are too! I especially liked the Qom Jha, and Qom Que. Timothy Zahn is one of the best writers I have ever read!!!!
Rating: Summary: Wow, this book is awsome. Review: This is (in no exageration) the best Star Wars book ever. Not only does it set challenges in the beggining of the book that the charectors must overcome; but new challenges are set near the end of the book making it almost impossible to put down until you finish. The conclusions and insites into the lives of Zahn created personas such as Mara Jade and Tallon Karde are incredible. This book was so well researched and thought out you can see elements of this plot being inserted in some of Zahn's earliest Star wars Books. This book is not only a delight for first time Star Wars readers, but it satisfies a fanatics craving for additions to the time line and a new revelations in the force. This book explanes age old questions, some of them old enough to stem from the movies themselves. It is my personal opinion that this book earned every one of the five stars I gave it.
