Summary: Don't believe the hype.
Review: Vision is nothing, save for a huge disappointment and an exercise in self-worship for Zahn's maladjusted ego. Stupid plot twists, strange proof-reading errors and the most unsatisfying and cheap resolution in ages ensure that the New Republic timeline ends not with a bang, but with a whimper.

Summary: Very, Very good book
Review: I loved this book. The fact that Timothy Zahn actually gives Luke a sense of humor is great. I thought the best line in the book was when Mara said that what was going on with Luke was "slightly less visible than blindingly obvious." That is a line I've used myself on occasion. Mara and Luke are perfect for each other. I'm happy that Luke finally has someone that is going to stay this time. All around it's a fantastic book.

Summary: Finally!!!
Review: It's about time Luke and Mara got together! Ever since Zahn's first trilogy I was wondering when those two would finally realize that they were meant for each other. I just know that all the other people who read SW novels as religiously as I do have been waiting for this to happen for a long time! BTW, the book was great! I loved the way Admiral Palleaon was portrayed. His character had a strength that not many Imperial Supreme Commanders in past novels had (i.e. Admiral Daala). The subject on clones was a clever plot twist too.

Summary: An excellent finish to an excallent series
Review: The best Star Wars book I have ever read! Not only is Thrawn's return exciting, but after Luke's past short-lived lovelives, he finally settles down. After finishing this book I was left sitting in amazement waiting for more. I am eagerly awaiting a new series.

Summary: I was on the edge of my seat!!
Review: That was one great book. I was in the edge of my seat through the entire book! Star Wars doesn't get much better than this.Luke and Mara getting marrried, huh? Cool. I'm going to read it twice. Tim Zahn does it once again. Wow. Thanks, Mr. Zahn, for another great book.

Summary: Mind-blowing, jaw-dropping fun
Review: I read this book a while ago and I'm still trying to get over the revelations. The only down point for me, really, was the Luke/Mara thing, as many people have said before...I mean, she hated him! But otherwise, this book was simply awesome; I couldn't believe it when I realized Zahn embedded threads into his old books just to pick up on them again in his new ones. This is a must read for any Star Wars fans; Zahn simply outdoes every other Star Wars author.

Summary: Say What?
Review: Excellent Book... but I still find the Thrawn origin stuff confusing... sometimes simplicity is better.

Summary: Zahn will capture and keep you even when the book is over.
Review: When the New Republic discovers the existence of a secret document that contains the names of the Bothan saboteurs who were responsible for the genocide of the Caamasi the New Republic is sent into turmoil. Species is pitted against species as old vendettas resurface, each one using the Caamasi as the excuse to fight. Han and Lando volunteer to go on a mission into the heart of the Empire in search for this infamous Caamasi Document. Leia heads off for a secret rendezvous point with the head of the Imperial Forces, Admiral Pellaeon, to discuss a peace treaty. Luke, meanwhile, has left the Jedi Academy. He hopes to save his friend and one-time enemy, Mara Jade, from a premonition he had had in Specter of the Past, the first book in this marvelous duology. Unfortunately, Luke doesn't know if finding Mara and warning her about the vision will do any good to keep it from occurring. And in the middle of everything an old enemy, for long time thought to be dead, has returned. Ten years ago Thrawn was a military genius and head of the Empire. But the real question is, 'Is it Thrawn or some terrific impostor?' Vision of the Future designates the last book that occurs after the STAR WARS trilogy. Fast paced and with numerous plot twists, Timothy Zahn has created yet another SW book that will please all readers. This last duology, Specter of the Past and Vision of the Future, resolves loose ends in the SW series that other authors have failed to tie off. Questions like 'What was the real relationship between Lando and Mara?', 'Will Luke ever get the girl?', and 'Can the New Republic make it as a stable government?' will all be solved. I will give Timothy Zahn the credit he is due, I love all of his books, but I won't go as far as to demean the other SW authors just because they don't have the same writing style or ideas that make Zahn's books worth reading. I have enjoyed all of the novels and I am sad to hear that this book will designate the end of the series. But at least the book lived up to the standard that SW books should have. I recommend this book to anyone who is willing to read a multi-hundred page book that contains political intrigues, civil war, battles in spaceships, criminal investigations, and the importance of family and friendship. I would also recommend this to any and all SW fans, though if they have already heard of Specter of the Past and Vision of the Future, I don't know how they could stay away. Chapter by chapter, sentence by sentence, Zahn pulls his readers once again into the fantastic world of SW. Timothy Zahn is definitely a master at political skirmishes and multiple plots. He weaves a wondrous tale for any reader, STAR WARS fan or not, to enjoy. Readers will see how quickly people can reincarnate old vendettas and how little treaties really stand for. And just when the reader thinks he/she has the answers to all the problems in the galaxy, Zahn flips the universe upside down and the reader will have to begin again. How can anyone not enjoy this book? The story doesn't just revolve around the central characters like Han, Luke, and Leia. There are many secondary characters like Mara and Wedge Antilles. The Bothans are still up to their old tricks. The empire is still full of devious villains and back stabbing warlords. Zahn will keep readers on their toes and begging for what happens next, and will read right up to the last page still wanting more. The final book to the Star Wars series. And I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Timothy Zahn.

Summary: Finally...
Review: Thimothy Zahn has proven his great talent once again. As a big Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker fan, I especially enjoyed the development of their relationship! I already felt at the end of "The Last Command" that Timothy Zahn had this in mind, and now he finally got the chance to do it! The rest of the story also takes you in a firm grip from the first moment to the last. Many characters have been fleshed out and therefore becom more "real" for the reader, and a lot of questions have been answered that where hanging in space for a long time. The Bantam series couldn't have ended better!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! The only sad thing about this is that it's the last book in the Bantam series... and as far as I know, also he last book that takes place after "A New Hope". So one eye crying, one eye laughing, I'm very much looking forward to the books that will accompany episodes I to III!
