Rating: Summary: Zhan cleans up the other messes nicely! Review: The idea to bring back Zhan after so long was the best idea Lucasfilm LTD had in a looooooong time when it came to the new novels. He is the best Author for Star Wars no matter what anybody else says. He actually has a plot and takes his time and effort bringing it to a close. Thats why you have to read part 1 of this series. Most people who don't like Zhan I've found out are usually the younger group or people who look for ACTION ACTION ACTION and not much of a plot. Those people can turn to Anderson to satisfy those needs. He cleaned up every single foolish idea and gave it purpose where there was none before. Or set some of the supposedly bigger characters in there place like Daala. He also makes note of the cloned Empereor (a plot that I've personally always hated and which turned me away from the Dark Empire series). I beleive I am one of the few people over 18 who reveiwed this book. Yes all the other books were ok (especially the X-wing series), but they all had they're faults. This book cleans up all those faults and make them seem plausible. Admit it readers, while all the books DID have a continueinity, it was loose at best. Zhan made it seem that all the other stories had a sole purpose and really were part of the same universe again. It seemed like the entire saga of novels were actually one book. As for the story itself, it's packed full of all the excitement, joy, sorrow, love, drama, and pure adventure that made the original trilogy so great. I would love to see Zhan write the novels for Episode 3. Someone else has already taken Episode 1. After the slew of mediocre novels that somehow got a Star Wars title on them (besides the X-wings and the Han Solo trilogy) it's nice to see a good series once again. As someone once wrote for Heir to the Empire:READ AND ENJOY. . . THE MAGIC IS BACK!
Rating: Summary: This book was Great!!! Review: I have read Heir to the Empire,Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command. I very highly recomend these books to SW fans. I would give this book a six star rating if possible. Please inform me if there is a sequel to the Hand of Thrawn as soon as possible.
Rating: Summary: The book I've been waiting for! Review: I loved this book! I'm glad Mara and Luke are getting married! But I for one would have actually liked to see a wedding. Come on Mr. Zahn, couldn't it of been just a few more pages? He did fix a lot of the boo-boo's that other authors did and I'm glad. He even goes and refers back to the other Thrawn trilogy he did! It's great! If only it could of been longer!!!
Rating: Summary: The Best Star Wars Book Yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I loved this book. I think the luke and mara thing was very predictable but her reaction was very unpredictable! E mail me if you have any info on a sequal.
Rating: Summary: An absolute must for the Star Wars fan. Review: Visions of the Future is the best Star Wars book ever. Spector of the Past left me knowing that Mara and Luke would hook up, and I had to rush out and read Visions of the Future right then. Mara has long been my favorite female(besides Leia) and I'm glad that Luke finally got over Callista and married Mara. I love the way Timothy Zahn incorporated many previous Star Wars characters. He has started the beggining of a new era for Star Wars.
Rating: Summary: Excellent...!!! I was left in a Jedi Trance... Review: Mr. Zahn has done it again. This makes the fifth novel I have bought and read set in the Star Wars Univerise by Mr. Zahn. All of them I give a Five star rating if not a six. Vision Of The Future was incredible. There is no other way to put it. It was everything I have come to expect from an author of Zahn's caliber. Being a Mara fanatic, I was over joyed to find that Zahn has stopped the abuse of Mara's character and even repaired the damaged done by previous authors. If you havn't read this book... What are you waiting for...???? GO GET IT! I just pray that the day comes soon when there are more novels produced by Mr. Zahn continuing from where this book leaves off. And hopefully not set too far in the Future either. I want to know what happens the next day after ceremony of Peace...
Rating: Summary: Excellent Star Wars story by the premier Star Wars author Review: Timothy Zahn has done it again. He has taken the Star Wars characters to yet a new level of interaction; he has moved them along in their lives as well. I especially enjoy reading about Mara Jade. In this novel she works extensively with Luke Skywalker, and isn't trying to kill him! Together their Force powers combine to form a team I hope to read more of in future stories. Well done, Mr. Zahn. Keep them coming!
Rating: Summary: A absolute must read for all Star Wars fans Review: Zahn has used his usual literary greatness to produce what I believe to be the most intriguing series to date. This particular book is the highlight. Zahn seemlessly fuses all his different story lines together into a grand and highly surprising conclusion. Check this one out.
Rating: Summary: This series shows Zahn at his best Review: I loved the series known throughout the world as "The Hand of Thrawn" It features the return of my favorite character ever, Grand Admiral Thrawn. Even though I was disappointed that it was only a faked return, this series was Timothy Zahn's best ever.
Rating: Summary: It was an excellent book. Review: I loved the book, and even got my screen name (MaraJd64) from one of the main character's name. Timothy Zahn is at his best in the last book of a set of two books. The best part is that peace is found and Luke marries Mara Jade; the downside is that it is probably the end of the Star Wars series.
