Rating: Summary: Luke finally gets married! Review: All throughout the star wars saga, Luke Skywalker has been my favorite character. I've always wondered when they were going to get him married. From each girlfriend (Callista, Gareial) I've been waiting. What do I have to say about this book? It was great! More conflicts for bored readers, but not too many to get lost and put the book down. For all of those Luke fans out there, read this book and envy Mara Jade as she gets married to the most powerful man in the galaxy.
Rating: Summary: I'll be Kesseled.... Review: This is the best fiction book on God's green Earth! Luke actually is quite emotional(Shove that Anderson!) and Mara too. We all knew that they were dstined to be together, but I wish he had inclued the wedding thought. GREAT BOOK! Do yourself a favor read Splinters of the Mind's Eye then read this. The diffrences between Luke is amazing!
Rating: Summary: LUKE GETS MARRIED! Review: Fianally Luke and mara hook up. They are such a perfect couple. What's real scary is that with all there powers, the force, brute strength, brains, knowledge, instincts, good looksd, their kids will almost certainly be all of that. I told it would be scary. Also I find it so fitting that Luke would propse to Mara in the of a battle. I'm with Mara to a certain point though, Mara didn't get to make him squirm. I wonder what Mark Hamill thinks of all of this happening to one of his most famous characters. If I were in Leia's position with Leia's trama's I would call in a gang of Noghri quickly. She has to deal with all of this without ticking off the Bothans, the people who hate them because of Cammasi, the people who hate the Bothans and use Cammasi as an excuse and so on and so forth. Then again Leia has the Force and years of diplomatic patience and I don't so I shouldn't be criticizing. I wonder how Han kept his head on his shoulders. Alot of people wanted to slice it off and keep it in their trophy room.Luckily, he has all of that luck. One of these days he will run out and Lando will gotten suckered into whatever the scheme is that time and leave the galaxy ticked off at his old buddy. Poor Lando. After all of that all I can say is read the book and LUKE IS ACTUALLY GETTING MARRID.
Rating: Summary: Vision of the Future: Not just for Star Wars fans! Review: Unfortunately, I finished reading Vision of the Future, by Timothy Zahn, this morning. Why unfortunately? Because I enjoyed it too much for my own good. The second in the Hand of Thrawn series, Vision of the Future has all the magic of the Star Wars films, and so much more. Captivating characters, an in-depth and wickedly intellectual plot line, and refreshing writing make Vision perfect -- not just for die-hard Star Wars fans, but casual SW fans as well. It would be wrong to label this book as science fiction; the action, adventure, hidden humor, romance, and mystery makes Vision ideal for anyone searching for a worthwhile book.
Rating: Summary: Answer to a popular question ! Review: OK, so I've rated this book before, and I can't stop repeating how great it is !But since my previous rating, I managed to find out the answer to the popular question "When did Luke go over to the Dark Side?" So, Mr. Tomas Cook, this story is written in the comic "Dark Empire" of Veitch & Kennedy (the first of the three with the same title, so you don't have to purchase all three). You will probably not like it, I personally ordered it, read it in one hour and was very tempted to immediately throw it in the garbage. However, if only for knowing what Zahn is talking about, you and any other fan who is interested in knowing all "historical" details in the Star Wars universe, can go ahead and read it.
Rating: Summary: So thats whats up with Thrawn Review: This might be the best Zahn book ever!! I couldn't put this book down. Finally the Empire admits defeat and the truth about Grand Admiral Thrawn is revealed. All I can say about Luke and Mara is "what took you so long." Thanks to Zahn for another great Star Wars book and I think he should write all the New Jedi Order books to come. Star Wars rules baby!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Zahn novelizations still the best Review: With fresh takes on familiar characters and intriguing portrayals of the new, Zahn's Vision of the Future continues to eat other Star Wars writers' proverbial lunch. The plot borders on the Byzantine (which is both blessing and curse), the stakes are high, the tension thick and the action fast. Don't waste your time with other Star Wars novelizations. Read Timothy Zahn's (all of them) and be happy
Rating: Summary: 5 Stars+!!! This is the best book I have ever read! Review: Tim Zahn is back writing the best Star Wars novels ever. In my opinion, this book beats out even his great Thrawn Trilogy. The only stories beating this one out were written by George Lucas himself. I loved how Luke and Mara got together, ending Luke's wierd period as a loner. This is the first book in a while where he wasn't shown as some strange, "I have to be alone to explore the Force," or some Obi-Wan hermit wannabe. Did it ever occur to any of the other writers that Luke was a normal guy in the Star Wars Trilogy? It's great how Zahn apparently planned out these last two books while writing his first trilogy, answering the question "What was Fey'lya so worried about in Mount Tantiss?" I also liked how Admiral Pelleon (I probably misspelled his name) comes back to show off some of his military genius and finally end the NR-Empire war. I always liked him from the first trilogy. 5 stars doesn't cover this book, but I couldn't give 15. READ IT!!! You won't regret it. (And to Anna from Athens, I was wondering the same thing about the whole Luke, dark side, Emperor Reborn thing, I really wanted to read it after I first heard about it.)
Rating: Summary: ANOTHER MASTERPIECE MUST-READ BY ZAHN!!! Review: Thank goodness Timothy Zahn has finally come back into the Star Wars arena! This is a great book, and an excellent conclusion to "Specter of the Past" (speaking of which, go out and buy that TODAY). It seems that Zahn couldn't wait any longer to set things right. It was obvious (at least to me) in his original Thrawn trilogy that there was supposed to be a romantic connection developing between Mara Jade and Luke. No author since has added on to that. So, Zahn had to come back and do so himself! Zahn adds hints about things at the very edge of his novel; I wish he would go into more detail about them, for instance: the Aing-Tii monks (what is the extent of their powers? can they teleport through time as well as space? are there any dark Aing-Tii monks?) and the "threat" that Admiral Parck and General (formerly Baron) Soontir Fel. For that matter, what about Fel? The past fifteen years or so of his life in the Star Wars universe have been a mystery!
Rating: Summary: Best Star Wars Book! Review: So far this is the best Star Wars book that I have read. I like the original Timothy Zahn trilogy so, of course, I like this one. Good book all around, great story development, awesome plot, and it's Star Wars! I recommend it to almost everyone who can read.
