Summary: What a Find!
Review: This is the best fantasy book I've read since Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks. I have been soooo disappointed with the fantasy genre. This book brings back the wonder and excitement by providing a great story well told.

Summary: Stunning read, despite the awful cover
Review: The publisher of "Green Rider" came up with a mawkish cover, suggesting a bodice-ripping story of Mills & Boon sentimentality...
I am glad I managed to jump this hurdle. "Green Rider" is a stunning tale of fantasy which propelled me into a world of wondrous make-believe which I thought I had lost in my distant childhood.
I could not put this book down. I have spent a week reading it, and the daily infusion of Kristen Britain's writing made it a truly joyous time. I slowed down my reading during the last third of the book to saviour the experience a little longer.
It is a most suitable book for readers from 15-90.

Summary: One of the Most Perfect Books Ever
Review: Green Rider is by far one of the most perfect books ever written. It was given to me as a gift by some friends of mine who are known for their bad gifts, but the minute I picked this book up, I knew I would love it.
It is full of strange and intriguing magick, suspense, and adventure, as you follow the story of Karigan G'ladheon as she flees from school, only to encounter a starnge adventure she never counted on. The daughter of a merchant, she is suddenly caught up in the affairs of the green riders, the kinds elite messengers.
From the minute I opened to the first page, I was drawn into the book, and could not be extracted from it. It is such an enthraling, amazing book, with an amazing story line and wonderful character development. I am eagerly hoping the Kristen Britain will write a sequal to Green Rider, because although it does not need one, I would love to read more!~>

Summary: Another, please!
Review: Green Rider was a deceptively simple book, at first glance. The plot of a young girl finding a dying messanger and agreeing to deliver this life-or-death missive to the king was basic, but filled with potential. When I first saw it, I thought it could go either way. Either there would be more to it than meets the eye...or not.
But once the story begins, it pulls you right in. You keep reading, just to find out what happens next, just until the next chapter. An hour later, and you're still reading.
Karigan is a likable character, and the villians are properly evil.
I'm sure we all are eagerly awaiting the sequel, to find out if the hoofbeats have invaded her dreams yet. The lure of the Green Rider is strong...can Karigan hope to stay away? Well, I certainly hope not.
And, I am glad that this book did not end with her reaching the king. The story is never finished when the message is delivered. Especially when it could mean life or death for a king. This way we get to see what happens after, and how the story really ends.
Plus, I'm a sucker for a happy ending anyway.

Summary: Green Rider - Incredible
Review: I could not put this book down. I went to Vegas with some customers and I started reading the book at the airport. I spent the first night in Las Vegas in my hotel room so I could finish the book!!! I'm really not anti-social and the rest of the trip was awesome. I don't read as often as I should and I'm not a speed reader, but I finished this book in 48 hours flat. I highly recommend it. I would just advise that you start it on the weekend.

Summary: Sequel!!
Review: I loved this book!! I agree that it needs a sequel, and it's finally coming. The sequel is called "First Rider's Call" and it will be published in August 2003. The publisher has also agreed for two more books in this series.

Summary: Karigan's Wild Ride
Review: Karigan G'ladheon seems like no one special. As the daughter of a wealthy merchant her clan name is well known through out her country but she herself has done little of importance. That is until the day she's kicked out of school for fighting with a very powerful noble's son. She is encountered by a Green Rider, a royal messenger, who carries an important message for the King. He begs Karigan to take it, claiming it to be a life or death matter. The next thing Karigan knows, she's riding off on the Green Riders horse into unknown territory, towards the capital city. She finds herself involved with dangerous magic that she never knew existed and she has now become part of a deadly political situation, involving the new King and his scheming brother. It soon becomes obvious to her that that there are many people that would kill her just to stop the message she carries from reaching the King.

I first heard about this book on amazon as a recommendation on someone else's review of another book I really enjoyed. I was very surprised when I saw the sheer length of this book. I have read books longer than this but the book it was recommended with was considerably short. It soon became obvious for me that even though this book is long it doesn't slow down in it's 470 pages. Kristen Britain has all the makings of my preferred fantasy novel, a strong female main character, action and adventure, and a good healthy dose of good and evil magic. I only hope that the author writes a sequel book, or even another tale of a Green Rider. The world Kristen Britain writes about is fascinating and it would be a pity for her not to visit it again. I recommend this book to fans of such authors as Dawn Cook, Tamora Pierce and Mercedes Lackey.

Summary: One of a kind
Review: I love fantasy/science fiction books but I can never find the right mix, Tolkien is too wordy, Goodkind is too gory and sick minded, I've just never found a book I truley adore until I read this one, it has a little gore but not so bad you notice, and it has a little bit of romance but nothing mushy, sure it slows down a little bit in the middle but only for ten pages. All in all, I'm an extreamly picky reader, but I loved this book and I am looking forward to more of Kristen Britian's work.

Summary: An Excellent Read
Review: I absolutely love this book. It has such a great plot with so many twists and turns; you don't know what to expect next. The characters are well developed, but they could be better. Despite that I have already read the book three times. I just wonder when Kristen Britain will write a sequel, or even another book.

Summary: Not too shabby
Review: Overall I thought the book was quite good. The plot was good and the characters were well done. Considering it was her first novel I would say Green Rider is quite an accomplishment and I think any other books that Kristen Britain writes in the future will far exceed this one in quality. But all around I liked the characters and the villians had beleivable goals and I liked the crazy supersoldiers, and most of the Gray One was really neat. The only thing I'm knida fuzzy on was the end, but that might be attributed to sleep deprivation because I couldn't put it down. I am currently eagerly awaiting a sequal. Kudos to you, Kristen Britain!
