Summary: Engrossing read!
Review: In many ways, it's difficult to tell this was a first novel for the author. The tale literally drew you into it, and I was often surprised to discover my "just a few minutes" of reading was actually several hours. I hope to see a sequel SOON!

Summary: Awesome!!!!
Review: Green Rider is so totally awesome! I could not put it down

Summary: The first in what I hope to be a long line of many.
Review: I absolutely enjoyed this book! In my opinion, it ranks right up there with David Edding's 'Belgariad' and 'Mallorean', and Lloyd Alexander's 'Prydain Chronicals'! I'm usually skeptic before I read any Fantasy, but this one blew me away. I loved the detailed description; they brought me right into the story. The lack of real romance was made up by the almost-there attraction between characters. Of all the books I've read, this one shows the strongest female character. In words and actions, she outranks all of them. I can't wait for sequel...

Summary: A fantastic stumble upon
Review: I don't even like SF fantasy but stumbled upon this one to my delight. The best brand new author to SF in many years. Unlike some other fantasy I could relate to the story and the surroundings. I could not put the book down and I'm eagerly waiting for a sequel and/or another book from this author.

Summary: Great book, the only problem was it ended too soon.
Review: This was a great book, I couldn't put it down. The only problem was that I feel the story was too short. Give me more!

Summary: Eagerly awaiting the sequel
Review: Karigan is a strong and engaging character, and the other people we meet along the way are intriguing--people I'd like to meet! The setting is vividly painted; the author obviously loves trees. The plot is fast-paced, so you keep turning pages even when you mean to go to bed, go to work, eat dinner, etc...

I could tell this was Kristen Britain's first novel as I read, however. Awkward bits in the exposition and occasionally the dialogue caught my eye, and at times the action seemed almost melodramatic. I am very confident, though, that her books will only improve with time -- that is the usual pattern, after all. I loved the characters so much that I certainly intend to read the sequel, and I hope there will be several more.

Another complaint I had was that at the end (not to give anything away) I couldn't always understand Karigan's motivations for her actions. At the same time, I was almost certain there would be a second book, because of subtle foreshadowing placed much earlier in the book.

I don't want you to get the impression that I am trying to give a negative review here. I think this book is a great read, and I highly recommend it - but I think it's best if you remember this is her first novel.

Karigan and her kingdom are what I've been craving in fantasy literature for a long time.

Summary: I loved this book! Can't wait for the next!
Review: My best friend loaned me this book after she finished. I got so caught up in the novel I read during my math and chem classes. My father even forced me to stop reading it Fri. night because I was so caught up in the novel, I forgot to eat dinner. Definitely a worthwhile read. : )

Summary: A great book for all ages!!!!
Review: I found this book to be captivating. I hope that a sequil comes out soon. It is Great!!! Its about this girl who gets kicked out of school for starting a fight. As she is walking home she stumbles upon a dying Green Rider. He makes her promise to deliver his message to the king, and warns her to "Beware the Shadow Man". She soon learns what it is like to be hunted as assassins follow her. I would recomend this book to people of all ages. It is one of the most interesting books that Ihave ever read.
