Rating: Summary: Tosh Review: This is a by the numbers fantasy written to a plot that has worked a hundred times. This time it didn't anybody who doen't know the complete story from the first page has never read a fantasy before.A complete waiste of time.
Rating: Summary: The description is fantastic! Review: Britain has completed a masterpiece and I highly recommend this book to others! I was glued to it from the moment I walked by it in the bookstore until I finished it fifteen minutes ago. What amazaes me is that Britain found the words to describe feelings, sights, sounds and smells that I could never find the words for. I happily give this book five stars and look forward to other works by her.
Rating: Summary: The Female Postman Review: I like Ms. Britain's writing style and couldn't put the book down because I love a good story. But, haven't we read this story before? This book is Kevin Costner's "The Postman," Lloyd Alexander's "The Prydain Chronicles," Tolkein's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, Betty K. Erwin's "Aggie, Maggie, and Tish - all wrapped in one novel. Here's 1 movie and a number of books (which I love) mixed together.Yea! Women are treated with respect in this book. But, do all Eltians and other mystical creatures have to be blond and blue-eyed? And, the writing style does override the sloppiness of the editorial staff who missed grammatical and syntactical errors that show up frequently in the text. Of course, I caught all the poorly hidden loose ends that could be resolved in a sequel. Now, I want to read the sequel. Could some one please tell me how old Karigan is? 10? 12? 14? 16? 20?
Rating: Summary: A great book! Review: I loved this book. The characters were great and well thought out. All action was great, though there were a lot of deaths. With all the suspence you couldn't put it down. The ending was okay, but seemed to be leading up to a sequel.
Rating: Summary: A good read, with an unsatisfactory ending. Review: This is a great read, I could hardly put the book down. Watch out though, there is too much plot development for the quick and dirty ending given in this book. This is very likely suggesting a sequel somewhere in the works, or possibly the beginning of a trilogy.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Exciting and compelling. Review: it is exactly the type of book I like. Exciting with moments of relaxation, with a touch of hidden humor, almost.
Rating: Summary: Good, but not the best of reads Review: While this book was okay, I feel that the characters were rather poorly developed. I could not, under any circumstance, really care all that much about the main character. I didn't find her realistic or even all that admirable a charcter. It still was, however, an okay book. I would still highly recommend it to any readers new to fantasy adventures, and I might even recommend it to 'veteran' fantasy readers, just not as highly.
Rating: Summary: One of the Best I've ever read! Review: This was a great book, infact I only bought it 2 days ago and I'm already writing a review. Britain keeps you interested even after you've finished the book. I couldn't put it down! (Until my eyes could no longer stay open.)I recommend GREEN RIDER to any lover of fantesy. Karigan and the other characters are believeable and "round". The only problem was once in a while it started sounding like some of the fantesy movies that are a bit cheesy. That feeling is soon swept away though. I enjoyed it wholeheartedly and I can't wait for a sequel. Thank you Kristen Britain!
Rating: Summary: It's a great book for fantasy and adventure readers! Review: The book, Green Rider, is great! Although there seems to be alot of killing and death, it is a wonderful story. The author, Kristen Britan, really keeps you in the story, making this book so hard to put down.
Rating: Summary: I loved It! Review: Like many others said it's a very compelling story, I couldn't put the book down and I finished it in two days. I can't wait for the sequal to come out.
