Summary: What Happen?????
Review: Nobody is a bigger fan for the Bel/Mal series than me. As much as I loved those books and Belegarath, I hated Polgara!!! What happen to the wit and fun? This book plods on and on about nothing. I would love to see a new adventure begin with Eriond, and friends. True fans don't bother, go back and re-read the first books.

Summary: Pretty Pointless
Review: Yes, I liked the first 5 books. I felt the next 5 were milked for all they were worth (the story could have been told in 2 volumes without all the padding). Belgarath's story was pretty interesting. BUT this last one is disappointing. The only new thing to tell was Polgara's stay in Arendia, which reads a lot like a Harlequin romance. There are lots of inconsistencies among these books, especially in describing the magical powers. Sometimes magic can do certain things, and sometimes it can't. Another point that has always bugged me is: shouldn't it be Beldurnik now that Durnik is a disciple?

Summary: Excellent counter to 'Belgareth the Sorcerer'
Review: An excellent 'continuation' to the Belgariad, the Mallorean and "Belgareth the Sorcerer". It fills in all the missing details and stills thrills the reader (at least this one). A fascinating concept by Mr Eddings; telling the same story from differing perspectives, brilliant.

Summary: The book does bring closure and answer many questions.
Review: While the Belgariad and Mallorean series' were and are great reads and I have read them many times, "Polgara" and "Belgarath" before it answered a lot of questions in a more stately pace. I am sorry to see the series end but all of the books are easily re-read.

Summary: Wow!!!
Review: I bought this book on a Friday and finished the fourth reading the following Friday. I went off sick from work for 2 days so I could read this book. Now, if I am not mistaken it is time to hear from Poledra. She must have a very intresting story to tell.Where was she, what did she do there etc? Also what is going to hapen to Eriond, et al in the south. Polgara's twins are what - boys girls or one of each? Just how many daughters are Garion and Ce'Nedra going to have? There is so much that can still be told. I A M W A I T I N G !!!!!!

Summary: I Loved It!!!
Review: I can't wait for his next one to come out. The Eddings' books are the best fantasy epic novels I have read in a long time. Their attention to detail and characterization is monumental. I suggest his books to everyone I know and they all like him as much as I do. A great read.

Summary: The Best
Review: David & Leigh Edding's congrats on the best fantasy series ever written. It warms the heart and challenges the mind. I believe that the author's must have a unique and rich life that put's a premium on being in touch with what is really important--the way we treat each other.

Summary: Magnificent! But I sill want MORE!
Review: I have read and consistently re-read this epic and on-going series for over seven years now, and consider myself to be quite expert in my knowelege of all publicated text. Of course, the release of 'Polgara the Sorceress' was an "Event" I had frantically anticipated since first learning of its forthcoming existance, and I was not at all dissapointed. I absolutely treasure every word. Polgara has always been my favorite character,so deep and complex. I rejoiced for her when in the concluding pages of the 'Seeress of Kell', she gave birth to her own twins. Now however, after 'Belgarath the Sorcerer' as well as Polgara's autobiography, we readers still do not know what gender the twins are. I'll never forget how desolate I felt the first (of many, many) time I finished 'Seeress of Kell' and the Eddings' message stated that the tale was finished. Belgarath and Polgara were a delightful surprise, but how I still want more. I really feel the possibilities for continuing this saga are infinite. Eriond is going to need more than just the one diciple,is he not? (Polgara and Durnik's children perhaps? Senjii? (sort of hinted at) Belgarath and Poledra could also have more children (or maybe puppies? could be interesting), and there are also Belgarion and C'Nedra's implied brood of Dryad daughters, which we have yet to meet) Also considering how sympathetic Eriond was towards Zedar's living entombment and the fact the He is now a God, I'm sure that in time He would insist upon Zedar's release. Then what would happen? Eriond will also need a wife, one with power would be most suitable. Was one of Polgara's children perhaps female? Silk and Velvet (Kheldar and Liselle) would no doubt be living an exciting and adventure filled existance, and I want to know about it! Indeed, to the millions of readers all over the world who have come to love all of these impeccably defined characters, there is still more story to be told, and I for one long to immerse myself time and time again in yet another novel based within this exquisitely created world, where real-life truths can be found amidst the veil of fantasy. David and Leigh, I appeal to you on behalf of every reader who has ever enjoyed your work, and every reader who will in future come to love this wonderous saga of epic proportions, to GIVE US MORE!. Please! P.S. What about a cinematic portrayal of the Belgariad, and a follow up sequal based on the Mallorean? P.S.S Or perhaps an animated series, keeping true to the original stories. Oh, and I would love it if there were prints of artistic interpretations available for sale, depicting certain scenes. With much love and appreciation to David and Leigh, from an obsessed fan.

Summary: Simply the Best
Review: It took me about four days to read this latest offering from David & Leigh Eddings. I thought it was well worth the wait; it put a different perspective on many of the happenings in the other books, and in more detail. This story is obviously told from a woman's point of view, and Polgara comes over as far more human than I would have believed from reading the other books. I read it straight through once, then went straight back to the beginning again

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Definitely not a put-down
Review: I've been waiting for this book and it was definitely not a disappointment. It totally engrossed me in a way that no other book has recently and although we've already read another version of the events seeing a new perspective and a new slant on Polgara was an absolute joy. The style of writing is enjoyable, enthralling and informative and I found myself up until the wee hours of the morning, unable to put it down. The only criticism I have is directed at the publishers and the idiot who ruined the cover. The book is entitled Polgara the Sorceress and she barely seems to merit a 24 point title, whereas Eddings is plastered across the front as if that were the title - please next time remember which one's which
