Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Memorable and exciting, fast paced and full of imagery.
Review: For pure excitement this one rates at least equally with The Demolished Man, another Bester masterpiece. Though not as deep, it is a must read for the entertainment value alone. Never a dull moment.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best science fiction novel ever written
Review: Owing to its early date Bester's "The Stars My Destination" was not only ground breaking then, it is still ground breaking now. Filled with concepts so daring that many modern writers can't compare, "The Stars My Destination" is undoubtedly one of the best science fiction novels ever written.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Bester continues to amaze with this novel
Review: What an excellent book! A highly original novel which stands in an elite class of science fiction.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Still good
Review: A good book that's hard to believe was written in the 50's. Science fiction as it should be. The characters are interesting and the plot simple but exciting. Why can't they write like this anymore?

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Suspense, Futuristic, but how does Revenge Drive a man?
Review: This book was excellent! Must read for Futuristic readers. 1950's? It doesn't seem like a 50's book. The only flaw is the purpose for living. The main character is driven by revenge itself, a bit unreallistic. Futuristically 5 stars! Emotionally 2 stars :(. The Book manages to keep the readers attention thoughout the story. Age range 14-19, male readers.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Truly Outstanding; Startlingly Original
Review: Marvelous! As an avid reader of sf, I came to this book with several preconceptions. They were, for all intents and purposes, all wrong. This book easily ranks in the top 2% of all sf I have ever read. It's tight, well-constructed plot, page-turning intensity, and refreshingly non-derivative style all commend it to a short list of personal favourites that hasn't seen a new entry in years. A must-have for any fan of "cyberpunk" - many of the conventions of which this work clearly presaged - it will also appeal to any sf fan who wants a fresh and original story that will keep them up nights to finish.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Entertaining for those with an open, nonconstipated mind
Review: If you're looking for a fun, fast read, TSMD fits the bill. Sure it's a little dated, but what SF from the 1950's isn't? Relax! Let yourself have fun.

Summary: favorite book
Review: Read this book in High School, and ran into it here some years later, so I bought it. Best damn book ever written in my eyes. Unless you nit pick it to death, you can't tell it was written in the 50's. I am not much of a book reader like some, but this kept my attention.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Pretty laim; Not worth it
Review: I don't care that this book was written in the 50's; it is still laim. Not worth it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A prime example of great SF writing.
Review: Talk about great character development. Bester did it all with this book. Gully Foyle's transition from a stupid space traveller to a highly intelligent and vindictive anti-hero is an incredible transition to read about. Other characters may seem a tad thin, but they are still very well implemented into the story. A mix of good action, detailed story-telling, and of course fantastic character development really make this novel shine.
