Summary: Excellent sequel!
Review: When I finished reading the first Reality Dysfunction book, I was left wondering what was going to happen next since Hamilton tends to end his books as abruptly as they begin. There was no decernable main character in the first book, but, about halfway in you realize that Josh Calvert is definetly the binding factor for most of the numerious storylines that wind their way throughout the book.

Any writing issues that were in the first book were long gone in this one, leaving the writing much better and giving the story a much better scense of direction.

As usual, the story is amazing, letting you get ahead of yourself saying "oh, that's easy, they're going to do bla bla bla next" and then it turns out they do something totally different, adding another layer to the story in the process.

I'm very glad that Hamilton exended the Possesed's characters more, offering an interesting prospective of the human spirit, if you like to think that deep... =)

Either way, if you were slightly disapointed by Emergence, read this before you form any opinions about Hamilton, you'll be pleasantly surprised of what Hamilton is capable of.

Summary: More stories than you can shake a stick at.
Review: Quite simply, this is an epic space opera of brilliance. It really builds up so well, and in parts is genuinely terrifying. It`s space opera, it`s horror, it`s political intrigue, it`s romance and everything else you could want from a book. Then again, it is a very big (series of) book(s). Buy it, buy it, buy it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Can you say intrigue that doesn't stop!?
Review: The plot thickens! Following even more characters through the battle for glactic domination. The battle scenes are superb, highly modified human warriors and starships armed to the teeth, all timed down to the nanosecond. And don't forget the spicy sex, the revelation of the "evil force" behind the mysterious "possesions" of whole planets full of people. This one really makes you want to make your peace with God just in case!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Buy it but don't read it!
Review: Fantastic story: Hamilton is surely one of "The Great" SF writers. BUT don't read it till all three parts come out: you risk dying during the wait for the third (and last I hope) part.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Why do I have to wait?
Review: When's the next one coming out. I don't like leaving all those characters hanging. I need closure! C-,

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good story, but isn't concluded so well.
Review: The Reality Dysfunction has a very good storyline, if sometimes a bit unlogical. The author is mostly carried away by his own vivid imagination, and falls short of writing a coherent story. A book this long (1228 pages) really only gets you going by making you wish to know how it all ends, and at the end of this book you're left with a LOT of loose ends.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A book that's very hard to put down
Review: I liked The Realty Dysfunction so much that I stopped grading papers for two days. Heck, I stopped doing much of anything else. The space battle above the planet Lalonde is riveting. I did find most of the sex (and there is a lot of it) gratuitous.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A simply breathtaking piece of writing
Review: As many others on this page have reviewed the book I will simply just decribe the book as being one of the most fantastic Sci-Fi books I have read. The version i read was the European version hence it was one big book and completely invaded all free time till I'd finished it. I love this book, sci-fi with teeth.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I was left in suspension waiting for a conclusion
Review: The first book left me in suspension which was suplied by this book. This book was as good as the first but I just have to know how the war agaest death ends and there is no continuation. Please encourage the great writer to publish the 3rd book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I consider this to be an action packed book .
Review: This is considered to be one of the best space operas in the history of science fiction by my whole family . It is consequently action packed , and the plot is always evolving to change into something better . The characters have depth and you have to accept the good along with the bad when it comes to their personalities . It is the most accurate Sci-fi novel I have ever read , from a scientific stand point .
