Summary: This Book Is For...
Review: This book is an excellent book, and rather than describe it in the usual way, here is a list of who this book should be read by, and you can infer its quality: This book is for lovers of action. This book is for those who enjoy new surprises being spun from a series of good yarns. This book is for readers who love detail as much as action, character personality descriptions as much as battle descriptions. This book is for readers who love to let their imaginations float them into the universe of the stories they read. This book is for Star Wars fans who look forward to a good adventure and science fiction combination. In short, this book is for those of you who love to dream... and those of you who love to carry your dreams out.

Summary: Pretty good read
Review: Hey, actually, I'd give it more like a 4.5. Considering the previous book in the NJO, this was an extremely refreshing read. Jaina and Jacen are finally growing up, and I find that a welcome relief............ On the other hand, if Timothy Zahn was writing another SW novel, I'd be overjoyed. If you happen to have any time, read Specter of the Past and Vision of the Future.

Summary: By far, the best New Jedi Order book yet
Review: Kathy Tyers' writing style has made this the most enjoyable book of the New Jedi Order series. The characters are much more realistic, the pace is enthrallling, and the story is developed in her usual style. I still haven't forgiven them for killing off Chewbacca, but this book rules. I finished the entire thing in one day--couldn't put it down. Jacen is finally growing up, Jaina is maturing, and Anakin is still the young hero with amazing promise. Luke is becoming more "human" and learning more balance, and Mara continues to develop as a heroine. The Vong continue to be more despicable and hated with each volume.

Summary: And the war rages on and on and on
Review: The war continues to wage on and with the possible exception of Dark Tide: Ruin I think this is the best NJO book yet. For one the stopped the annoying and nerve racking council meetings. If anything the high point of this series (other than the final battle) will be the heroes ousting Borsk I blame him for most of this mess. And for those of you that are knocking the Vong, I don't think that they will back down if the New republic stands their ground. And if they don't soon it will the Dead Republic.

A few questions: Where is the Empire? I doubt even Pelleneon could break out of the net the Vong have threw over them, but I would like to know what they are up to.

What happened to Kre'fey? Did he rebel? Has he been kicked out?

And when will Corran come out of hiding? after running from Loor and years of rebellion I would think that he would be use to being despised by some populace and unlike most Jedi he has fought the uphill battle before. a prerequistate for Rogue Squandron of the Antilles years.

speaking Antilles who is with me in nominating Wedge as President of the New Republic?

Summary: The right balance
Review: First off, the best thing about this book is the return of Kathy Tyers, who wrote the mostly overlooked Truce At Bakura, one of the few storys in the original Bantam arc to do something interesting with the relationship between the Rebels and the Empire. Here, she returns with a strong, character-driven storyline that finally puts Jacen Solo on track and dares to add depth to the annoyingly shallow Jania. The twins had lacked true grit for the most part, with Jania being nothing more than another fighter jock and JAcen being a right royal moaner. But now, Jania has gotten over her brattiness, and Jacen is finally taken the giant step towards manhood he desperately need.

Tyers layers all this in a story in which our heroes must deal with the very real problems of refugees and the advancing Vong forces. And this is the only lapse in the novel. The Vong, for all their saber rattling, are not a convincing foe. So far they have won every battle the same way - by lack of resistance. With half the galaxy gone, one would think the New Republic would begin to fight back. And with the same small band of heroes fighting back each time, the series is becoming a little repeative.

But despite this, Balance Point is perhaps the best book to date in the New Jedi Order series. Tyers is an innovative Star Wars writer, and should be asked to contribute again.

A Post Script: On the subject of Danni Quee, I am glad she has been absent from the past three books. I felt her character was good in Vector Prime, but her training to become a Jedi in Dark Tide irked me. She is a valuable resource intelligence wise, but don't we have enough Jedi?

Until next time...

Summary: Another good addition to the Star Wars Galaxy
Review: This book brought the reader further into the Yuuzhan Vong conflict and brought more light on the strange invaders themselves. It was well written and well worth the money and readers should not wait for the paperback.

Summary: Ok let me write a short review of this useless book.....
Review: I can't believe anyone would spend their time and money on this cover to cover garbage collector book. $20.76 for this pile of trash book I hope someone will find this review helpful as the Star Wars junkies who have reviewed this book before are just trying to make the people that made this book filthy rich with this book that is only filthy.

Summary: This collection of useless Star Wars knowledge is a waist
Review: This large book of useless knowledge is a waist of time and money. I read the book from cover to cover and i felt more stupid after reading it. I paid 10 bucks for the stupid book and i might as well bought some toe jam. It is worthless and it takes up to much space and collects dust. I do not recommend this book to anyone with a half a brain, however if you are a dumb sheep then go ahead and throw away your money on something that you will never use or read. And for all you star wars freaks who say that it could come in handy if they need to know something, you probably already know it if you are even thinking about buying it anyways. And if you really do want to buy it for knowledge your stupid too because star wars is a fake fantasy land that will never happen. Why would you want a book that it fake.

Summary: The best book in The New Jedi Order Series!
Review: This book is the best book written for the New Jedi Order series. It mainly focuses on Jacen Solo but other charactors (Jaina, Mara, Luke, Han, Leia.) also get some attention. Also Nom Anor's return surprised me. (I thought Mara had gutted him for good.) If your looking for a good book to read, read this book. This book is the best book in the New Jedi Order Series. I highly recommend you read it.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not Balanced
Review: It seems that in every "The New Jedi Order" book the characters are all divided! Han is on the other side of the galaxy for months away from Leia and Anakin. The New Republic isn't political anymore. You dont see Leia deciding issues regarding the New Repuplic anymore. This isn't your old star wars where you can remember a line forever. You cant get inside the character and see from there point of view in "Balance Point". Other wise this book is very important if you have read the other books in the series. It has critical points for Luke,Mara,Han,Jacen,Jaina,Anakin, and the battle against the Yuzzum Vong.
