Summary: It got me hooked on Pern once again.
Review: Magical and frightening. Reading this made me want to go back and re-read all the books on Pern I read years ago. The characters are well done, Robinton of course, but I loved Nip and Tuck! Enjoy the read, and don't plan on getting anything else done around the house until the book is finished. =)

Summary: A masterpiece that stays in step with all the Pern Books
Review: McCaffrey hit gold with this installment of the Pern series. She was able to truely flesh out the character of Master Harper and ad much depth to the characters living inside of her books. Anne has a style of making a book come to life, right in front of a person. Kudos for Ms. McCaffrey and for the Dragon's of Pern Series.

Summary: One of McCaffrey's best in years
Review: The strength of McCaffrey's work has always been in the wonderful characters she creates. Robinton is one of the most memorable, and you can tell how much she loves him. This is the strongest entry in the Pern series in several books...standing well on its own, as well as filling in gaps in the wonderful saga she has created over the last couple decades. ...another all-night read!

Summary: Anne McCaffery "gifts" us another great read!
Review: Another glimpse into one of my favourite Pernese characters, this book answers so many questions about Master Robinton and his relationships with Sebell, Lessa, Menolly, F'lar. . . Only Ms. McCaffery weaves a tale as good that spans years and books without inconsistancies. Thankyou for yet another journey to my favourite (and childhood saving) world Pern - would that they never end!

Summary: Another wonderful Pern adventure!
Review: What fun to discover the history of Robinton. He has always been one of my favorite characters in the Pern books. This book moved me to tears as well as laughter. Kasia's death was so sad yet it was part of what made Robinton the greatest masterharper Pern ever had. The characters came to life until I felt that I knew them personally. (I didn't like Fax the first time I met him and I didn't like him this time either.) This book was another fantastic journey to my favorite planet. Thank you Anne McCaffery.

Summary: Read this parag. by a 14 year old girl who loves dragons.
Review: A fantastic story that tells some of the tricks and trades of being a Harper. It starts with the birth of Robinton and goes through half his life. This book explains so much about life before thread, Robinton's childhood, Petiron, Camo, Sebbel, Lessa, Silvina, Fax, and even F'lar's father F'lon. The book ends a mere three turns before threadfall and fifteen books full of problems only Robinton can solve.

Summary: GREAT, EXCELLENT, how else would you describe it?
Review: The book explained everything, well, almost everything you would want to know about the Master Harper of pern. The book brought a whole new dimension to the pern series. Well, Anne McCaffrey has written another great book.

Summary: What can I say? EXCELLENT!
Review: This was -terrific- book by Anne McCaffrey and has already become one of my favorite in the series! It does an excellent job of getting into everything dealing Robinton's early life and how he became who he is in the later Dragonrider books. My -only- and very small complaint is that the end of the book seemed a bit rushed and lax on the details she gives for the majority of the book, but it was an excellent read and wonderfully done!

Summary: At last Robinton's own story!
Review: As always the gifted McCaffrey entralls the reader with her heartfelt desciption of Pern and its greatest leader. It would seem that we have gone the gamut from the moment when we first met Petiron as teacher to Menolly and now to the birth of Petiron's son, Robinton. If this is the final chapter of the Permese saga than McCaffrey has done so with distinction. We live and breathe both sides of the wise, gentle Robinton: his strengths and his weaknesses and his dedication to a people and their happiness. If McCaffrey has been blessed with the wealth of endearing friends in life that she has created in print, she is indeed the richest and happiest of authors and persons. I am forever grateful to you Anne, for the pleasure you have brought to all of us who read and love your books.

Summary: Enjoyed the history of Master Robinton
Review: As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed another Pernese novel. (Would look forward to another Talent series book!?) Only one little comment though, Chapter 18, page 360, Tarathel died, page 366, Tarathel journies to Nabol to meet Fax, how can that be? Surely Load Larad should have been there instead.
