Summary: A Treasure to be cherished for years to come...
Review: A must-read book. Just wonderful! Three, no one hundred cheers to Misty! I love how she portrays how Van hates the hero-worship of the Valdemarans. A favorite quote...(I think I got it right) "Van, they're afraid, well, I don't know, a bird will crap on you and you'll level the palace!" -Tantras. By the way, has anyone noticed Kris' Companion in Arrows of the Queen is named Tantris? :)

Summary: wonderful
Review: I loved this book, and the rest or the series. Unlike much of Lackeys work, the characters are not black and white, they cover all the shades of grey. Vanyel is one of my favorite characters of all the fantasy I've read. He is gay, and so many books exlude gays entirely. He is also not totaly GOOD. He has his faults, as all of us do.

Summary: Great Story; Challenging Themes; Sad ending.....
Review: I am a new reader of Ms. Lackey's "Magic" series with Vanyel. I am glad that I read all three books..There were too many loose ends in the story for my tastes. In spite of all of that, I still recommend this series to anyone loving this genre. END

Summary: One man's journey through love, pain and eternal loss.
Review: How can anyone not enjoy the depth and scope of this book and the books in the entire Valdimar series. Misty goes beyond the norm in this fantastic book. Her level of control over this world of Valdimar leaves the reader breathless with antisipation. As with all of the Valdimar books, Magic's Price moves you through all of the emotions. Lendels death and Vanyels ensuing pain puts us all in mind of times when we where in the same type of state. All praise to Misty and long may she continue to take us back to her world of Valdimar and all the fantastic peoples therein.

Summary: The Most Touching Fantasy I Have Ever Read!!!
Review: I was a latecomer to the Valdemar series, and when I first got the whole set of The Last Herald Mage, I just couldn't force myself to put down the books!!! They are definitely Mercedes Lackey's best and most soul-searching works. I cried through all three books, especially Magic's Price. Her creation of Stefen was an innovative idea, and I greatly admire her brilliant presentation of gay themes throughout the trilogy.

This is definitely a must-read for those fantasy lovers out there who still believe in the quality of a well-written story that touches not only adventure & magic, but also love, honor, & loneliness. Once here, you can never draw yourself out of Valdemar ever again!!!

Summary: I Cried For What Had Been, What Was, And What Would Never Be
Review: This book made the tears flow like never before. In the tales that Misty has written, there are few which can so totally break a person down and leave them feeling so drained and yet so recharged. This book has changed all me perceptions. This book has changed my outlook and the one thing I have taken out of this is, don't take anything at face value and never underestimate a person. Also, never give up and never say goodbye - they are always there, waiting for you to cross to the other side.

Summary: Once started, can never stop reading.
Review: The series the Last Herald Mage is THE best three books I have EVER read. My friend and I were reading it at about the same time. We would get into huge discussions going into great depths, months after reading Mercedes Lackey books. Vanyel is an amazing character, through he is inclined to slip into depression. Savil is great, by the way, doesn't Sayvil, the companion of Kerowyn, seem a LOT like Savil? I warn everyone, watch out where you read the Last Herald Mage Books, I have read them over 10 times and am still inclinded to cry.

Summary: One of the Greatest Books Ever
Review: Ms. Lackey is a phenomal writer and I believe that Magic's Price is quite possibly on of the best books I have ever read. The characters are endearing and you grow to love Vanyel, Yfandes, Savil, and even Withen throughout the Last-Herald Mage trilogy. I would also like to praise the excellent way Mercedes Lackey presents magic in her book. I have never seen such a wonderful description with such creativity and originality and she should be worshipped for that. After reading this series I have been spurred to read them all!

Summary: One of the best books I've ever read
Review: I loved this book and the whole trilogy. I have cried at the end every time I've read it. Lackey's the only author who's made me do this, and I will probably continue to cry whenever I read it in the future.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I cried then read it again!
