Summary: A great read!!
Review: Most sequels disappoint, but this one builds upon the previous book (Luck in the Shadows) while preparing the way for the next to come. Excellent writing, plotting and character development. You are pulled into the lives of her characters, and you truly come to care for them. I can't wait for the next book, Traitor's Moon, to come out...and what's taking it so long, anyway!!!

Summary: Wonderful, surprising, intellegent!
Review: When I began reading Luck in the Shadows, and then continued with Stalking Darkness, I was surprised and pleasantly happy to come across the topic of sexuality. Lynn covers this topic as one of the many side shows to the main plot, but it truely gives dimension to both her characters, and to the world in which she created. I just couldn't put down this book! Anxiously waiting for the next to come out...

Summary: One of the best fantasy series ever!
Review: This entire series is phenomenal. I'm waiting desperately for the third novel - whenever it is coming out! I wish someone knew its release date. This book compares favorably with such fantastic authors as Mercedes Lackey! I can't wait to hear more from Lynn Flewelling!!!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A good book... for open-minded readers.
Review: For the most part, I enjoyed "Stalking Darkness". The story was top-notch. The characters, including the villians, were memoriable and believable. The one story thread that I did not care for was the exploration of Alec's sexuality. Though I enjoyed the book, I will hesitate before buying another of Lynn Flewelling's books.

Summary: Exellent Reading
Review: Luck in the Shadows and Stalking Darkness are two of the best reads I've had this year. A pity that Traitor's Moon is taking so long to be released.

Summary: Very Awsome Book!
Review: This is a great book. It was very straight forward with a few cool surprises. I really loved reading it. I can hardly wait to read the new ones!! MZ

Summary: A Treasure! Ultimate Escapism!
Review: This magnificent sequel to Luck in the Shadows is a real page turner! Flewelling's fluid writing and awesome imagination has brought to life some of the most fantastic characters in Fantasy (or any other) fiction; a time of magic and portents, mystery and intrigue. This novel has tremendous atmosphere. The two main characters, nobleman/spy/thief, Seregil and his protege, Alec, together with a small band of loyal companions, must follow their destiny to stop the ancient evil of a terrifying god. There is too much in this book to actually sum up in a few words. Suffice to say the author creates characters you come to care for very much. Both Seregil and Alec have mysterious pasts that the reader will look forward to discovering all about in (please!...hopefully) their further adventures. This is a book about friendship and loyalty, good and evil. It's witty, charming, exciting and filled with surprises. At times I laughed out loud, but there were also many touching moments, and you'll find your gaze briefly scanning the next page in anticipation. I loved Stalking Darkness so much I bought extra copies for friends and relatives who loved it as well. But it looks like we'll have to wait until the latter part of 1998 for the sequel, Traitor's Moon!!... I shouldn't wish my time away, but... Anyway, please give these two Fantasies a read (and re-read). You won't be disappointed. Her characters will live lovingly on in your memory ... (Seregil is a Gem!!

Summary: A very worthy addition to the fantasy genre.
Review: It is very rare that one comes across a new author whose work leaves you clammoring for new material. Lynn Flewelling is one such author. Having only recently read Luck In The Shadows, I was thrilled to find the sequel just out on the shelves. This epic fantasy weaves together the many different threads that make for a superior fantasy novel - strong, well developed characters that you care about and believe; an intriguing plot which you do not figure out by the start of chapter two; and an appropriate blend of fantasy and reality. Stalking Darkness ties up almost every plot line started in Luck In The Shadows and mamnages to provide numerous surprises including the death of __________. Enjoy the book and luck in the shadows to you all. Michael Bank

Summary: I totally love her books. She is now one of my favorite auth.
Review: This is the most fasinating, unpredictable book I have ever read.It weaves stories within stories, it has so much charm and holding power that I read in one night.I've had this book "STALKING DARKNESS" 2 days and have already read it twice.Same as her first book "LUCK IN THE SHADOWS", I read it over and over till the second book came out. I now await eargerly for her third book "TRAITOR'S MOON"(which I will probably have to wait 6 months to a year....aaahhhhh!!!) That will be utter frustration and impatience for me, I hope I survive. I also hope she continues her series for a long, long time, and I shall be ever so grateful. Thanks, -Zalina Owens TX
