Summary: Brilliant
Review: This is probably the first book that I have read willingly and truly enjoyed so much that it changed my life. I decided to read the book because it was (what I thought to be) an explanation or end to the game. But the story actually linked pieces of the puzzle, while it still added more unlinked pieces in your mind. There is no end in this series, like life and all things. Some things like most are a mystery. I used to hate this style. But this makes complete sense. If you've played the game, I dare you to read the first chapter and NOT continue on! Every chapter ends with a cliff-hanger that draws you into the next chapter. (Ah, yes... The nights I've spent reading until it was morning.)

Summary: It's very good
Review: I liked it because it was written very well. The book takes turns you wouldn't expect. The story itself is very intriguing because you don't know what's going to happen next. Everything, the characters and details, were very in depth. I just couldn't put it down.

Summary: A Grand Book
Review: I have found that this book is incredible. The majesty in the simple story-telling alone is incredible, and the society in which this book takes place in incredible and breath-taking. I have read a lot of books, but none live up to this one. It is the story of Anna, Gehn's mother, and Atrus's grand mother. In the book of Atrus we see her and old woman living with her grandchild, making the smallest crack in a volcano a home. However, in this book, we see her in her youth. We see her as Ti'Ana, the legendary surface-dweller who... I don't want to ruin the story. Be aware though, that this book is incredible and a true tale of loyalty and betrayal, and good and evil. A must-read.

Summary: Truly the best of the Myst series
Review: This book ties together all the loose ends of the entire Myst series, including the games. The D'ni culture comes to life in all its splendour with the many different castes and the government of a millinia old race. Wonderful machines and spectacular scenery are made vividly clear. The story of how the 'books' were made and the ceremonies around them are intriguing. Herein lies the truth behind the mechanism of the 'book's. This is a story of friendship and betrayal, of love versus tradition when an outsider stumbles upon their civilization. Really a must read, and it can stand on its own.

Summary: The TRUE creation of a world
Review: Humans and the D'ni collide. Prejudices are found in the most intellectual of societies this book shows. The D'ni built an intricate system of tunnels and passage in an effort to see if there were any sentinents on the surface. After breaking through, they decided against the persuit, and sealed off all the tunnels. But one young woman, Ti'ana, left with out future after the dead of her father, finds a way down them and into D'ni society. From the beginning, most of the D'ni had a low opinion of her... first thinking 'he' was a hairy barely sentinent war-like being. Constantly, using the values taught to her by her father, Ti'ana, at the time Anna, proves them wrong. First, by taking the initiative and learning their language, then proving herself adept at science, and finally at the values of people in general. The prejudice of the great people would be their doom, and the Ti'ana would be the only one to leave D'ni as well...

Great book, missing Robyn's flare for a "fun" story, but none-the-less well worth 5 stars.

Summary: This book deserves ten stars!
Review: The Book of Ti'Ana, the second installment in the Myst Trilogy, is, without question, the best Myst book. The first book introduces you to the ideas of D'ni and Ages, but you are never prepared for the amount of information on the culture! Seriously, this book explores the entire society of D'ni, making you familiar with all of its intricacies, while still ensnaring you into the complex, melancholy plot. Despite being the prejudiced villain, the reader can sympathize with Veovis and his plight. This book shows how prejudice, no matter how insignificant the person thinks it is, is always wrong, and illustrates how it spiralled out of control. You can find the synopsis everywhere else, so I won't describe how it happened.

Summary: Absolutely Outstanding!!!
Review: What can I say that has not already been said? I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had all the elements of a great story. Highly imaginative, excellent plotting and pace. Character development was second to none. You don't have to be a fan of the games (Myst and Riven) to enjoy the books, they stand alone!

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read!
Review: I purchased Myst: The book of Ti'Ana at a discount book store along with the book, Myst: The book of D'ni, both hardcover. My best advice if to you is to purchase all 3 books in hardcover! (giving the story a giant help). I started The book of Ti'Ana at 9:00pm stayed up until 3:40am the next day, woke at 7:30am and ended the book at 4:00pm (starting the book of D'ni at 9pm the same day). I could not put the book down, I held onto every word my eyes could touch. In that I have found a great story of a man and a young woman lives intertwined by an unlikely twist of events. It is a book you are unable to put down because of the great plot of the writers and the intreguing backround of Myst. Buy all 3 books in hardcover, they pay for themselves, take 2-3 days away from all activities, start with The book of Ti'Ana, then The book of Atrus, last but not least read the Book of D'ni. After that you are ready to play the Myst CD-ROMS. This fantasy series is great for childrens bed-times for teens and the older generation! These 3 books are by far on list of favoite books. And I hope you can enjoy these books even more than I have!

Summary: A history of D'ni!
Review: The book of Ti'Ana tells the story of Aitrus, grandfather of Atrus. If you are a fan of the MYST/Riven saga, this book is a must-buy. Much of it describes (through the storyline) the extent of the incredible D'ni civilization. Really a book to get immersed in! Then it launches into the tale of Ti'Ana, the young woman who finds her way into D'ni. Was she ultimately responsible for the fall of D'ni? Or do you blame Veovis and A'gaeris? A thoroughly interesting book!

Summary: The Utopia of Books!
Review: I loved this book SO much. Sadly enough, I thought that The Book of Atrus was going to help me to solve MYST, the game, so I read it. I don't care how I got hooked on the series, but now I absolutely LOVE it! I've read all three of the book numbers of times and I love them all! Ti'Ana is the best of them all though. The story is so compelling and interesting that you can't stop reading. It's so great. The books are out of order by the order written. Ti'Ana is the first book, then Atrus, then D'ni (pronounced duh-knee). Aitrus (not Atrus) is Atrus' grandfather. The Book of Atrus takes place a while after, when Gehn (Ti'Ana's and Aitrus' son) has a son that he comes back for named Atrus. Then the third book has an older Atrus. Read just one of these books and you'll be hooked. I'm just sad that the writers have stopped writing them...I think they should continue on....I LOVE THEM!
