Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: It's OKAY Review: I'm a newcomer to the Myst world and Ti'anna kinda was a dissapointment. I really didn't feel any type of strong freindship between Aitrus and Veovis. They sorta just become friends. I read the book yesterday and now I can't care less for the story. Don't get me wrong, it's not a waste of time to read. I was never bored by any parts (except a few parts in the beggining.) To me, it's no more than a novel. No real plot twists (to me). I can't tell ones that I knew because they ARE PLOT TWISTS. Well...sorta...
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very good book! Review: I've played all three games (I haven't beaten Riven yet though) and I was just looking around when I spotted these books. I knew I had to buy them. I then found this one and The Book of D'ni at a store. They were mine before you could say bob's your uncle! I was reading another book, but I just had to read this one. The only times I put it down were the times I got a bit car sick from reading too long in a moving vehicle. The plot is just so good. One of the best I have ever seen. The ending is sad, but very well written. I could almost cry. Don't miss reading this book. It may become unavailable then you will have missed such a golden oppertunity.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fantastic trilogy Review: I have purchased ALL 3 books & they are absolutly mesmorizing. I couldn't put any of them down. Very well written. I also recommend buying the CD-Rom games. We have them & they are beautifully done as well.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fabulous Fantasy/History Review: The history of a video game?? NO...a wonderfully written historical/romance/fantasy story of Aitrius and Anna, their son Gehn and some fabulous 'characters' and it does help with the game to understand some of the 'wheres'? and 'whys'? of things. Wonderful read....I got tired of hum drum romances...This was worth the read!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: My Favorite Book! Review: Those who have played the games have no advantage in reading this book. In fact, there is little if anything connected between the two, so don't be turned off by a video-game turned book. Why? Because it's the darn best book I've ever read, and everyone but two people who rated this book gave it a 5. The plot takes so many unexpected but well-conceived turns that you never know what will happen next. The characters are so well developed that you really do feel for them or (or hate them in the case of the villains). The grand descriptions of the scenery is so vivid that you imagine yourself there, and wish it could be more than that. I couldn't put this book down from start to finish. Read this book if you read nothing else!DON'T READ THE BACK COVER!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: VERY good book! Review: This book was one of the best I've ever read! When I first started reading the Myst series I had very low expectations... after all, the books are based on computer games! But this book has an awesome plot with stunningly vivid characters. And the details about how the D'ni civilization lived are so well-thought out that one could almost imagine them- if you could dig a big enough hole. Well, I shouldn't give away any more of the book, so if you want to find out all the stories behind the games, (they're still good if you haven't played them!) READ THE SERIES!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: To everyone who loves fiction Review: This is one of the most beautifull books I've read. If you have played Myst, Riven and Myst3 you are most probably missing a lot of details in the D'ni civilization history and Aitrus family. But If you haven't played any of these games, there will be no problem, because it is so well written that anybody can read it with a beginning and a end.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Myst: the book of Ti'ana Review: The first 1/5 of the book didn't really get me hooked, but as i went on and Anna entered the picture the whole story blossomed. Absoulutely thrilling, Veovis is a character that was an excellent example of the demons we come across in our own world. Anna was a character that everyone can sympathize with along with Atrius the man that is undoubtably a strong brave young man whom had the courage to make his own choices. D'ni and it's civilization is an awesome world with much potential and i look forward, if i can get my hands on the other 2 hardcovers, to reading the other 2 books. I must say, already having the games and now the books, i am hooked on MYST!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Myst: The Book of Ti'ana Review: Myst: The Book of Ti'ana is one of the best books I have ever read,(the other two books were Myst: The Book of Atrus and Myst: The Book of D'ni). Myst: The Book of Ti'ana tells you of the history of Ti'ana (AKA Anna) and the downfall of D'ni. It's wonderful detail and intrigueing storyline will make you want to wish that this story would happen to you. Even the qality of the book itself is great, the pages are parchmented and it even comes with a map (poster)of D'ni. I hope you will find the book as enjoyable as I did.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The best book I've EVER read! Review: This book is erfectly described by the back cover, which is written on this site, too. I read this early 2001, and it is my favorite book, and the best I've ever written. The scenery is described perfectly, and the characters never static. The dynamic flow of the book is sensational, and hear me out- I don't read much. If you don't like reading, don't know what Myst is or don't care, read the book anyway! It is nothing short of outstanding. And don't worry- it's only tied to the Myst series by one idea that gives the story shape. A book for anyone older than twelve or thirteen, or else youy won't get the whole plot. If you simply LOVED this book, you should try the sequal, because it is very good, though the two are not equally comparable. Myst: The Book of Ti'Ana is quite possibly one of the best books ever written in recent years and has been receiving far too small acclaim for what it truly deserves. Tell all your friends and family to read the book!
