Summary: Don't bother.
Review: Fist, let me say this: While recovery is a good story, with rich character development and a lot of the old Han solo "burn em down and ask questions later" charm, I hurriedly downloaded and read it and then went out and bought the softcover version of Star by Star, and to my surprise I found the exact same story in the first part of that book. So, for a lot of SW fans, downloading this particular E-book is a waste of time and money.

Review: I am not writing this as a review, but more as a question. I ordered this e-book and Darth Maul: Saboteur [both Microsoft Reader formats]. Saboteur worked right away, but there seems to be some sort of technical problem with Recovery.

I recently remembered that Recovery is not supposed to be out until December 3. Could this account for the problems? If you know anything please post your thoughts

Summary: Boring
Review: I find ALL the Star wars saga immensely boring.

Summary: Gr, you suck Troy Denning!
Review: I hate ebooks. This should be printed out in an actual book or added to Balance Point.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Entertaining but incomplete.
Review: I have only one real complaint concerning "Recovery." The Microsoft Reader version I downloaded is missing Chapter 6. In spite of that the story is great and fills in details and development of characters that are first introduced in "Star by Star." The young Barabels' humor in the middle of tight spots was an endearing quality for a new species of Jedi. After reading "Recovery" I thought it a pity that such characters may not appear much in the novels after "Star by Star."

Summary: Star Wars: The New Jedi Order: Recovery
Review: I loved this book! After a friend gave me a copy. I started to give copies of this book to the rest of my friends. In this book the Force is presented from the beginning to the end.

Summary: great read
Review: i really enjoyed recovery, despite its short length. though i don't understand the comments below about chapter 6 -- the file i downloaded was complete.

Summary: Ehhh
Review: I would have ranked this book lower but the Barabel hatchlings were in it and provided me with a little entertainment. The rest of the book was pretty dry, and I still haven't read chapter 6!

Summary: Han & Leia Strike Back!
Review: I'm a tremendous Star Wars fan and read anything and everything from the expanded universe. However, I was a bit leary about ebooks - who wants to sit in front of a computer reading over 90 pages. I mean, really, who has the time. Yet, after hearing that this was an integral part of The New Jedi Order series, I begrudgingly ordered the book.
Set after the novel Balancepoint, Leia and Han are in the Corellian system. Leia's still recupperating from her leg injuries, when an assassination attempt is made. The attempt is thwarted by Han and some surprising new allies. Join Han and Leia as they attempt to discover who is behind the assassination plot.
I'm happy to say that purchasing this ebook was one of my better judgement calls! This book is excellent! Troy Denning captures the relationship between Han and Leia beautifully! Why was I worried about having time to sit in front of the computer to read this book? It's so fast-paced and action-filled that I finished it in a matter of hours! I definitely think this book is well worth the downloading. And it's great for Han and Leia fans out there. It really shows the depth of their relationship. Way to go Troy Denning!

Summary: Save your money
Review: If you read the Star Wars books regularly, and not piece-meal, there's no need to spend [the money] on this ebook: the story is the beginning of "Star by Star", and you can read it there--buying this ebook is somewhat like buying the first two chapters of a book that that would have been included as advertisement at the end of a novel only five or six years ago ("...for an exciting preview of the next [insert author's name here] novel, turn the page..." and you would have the prologue or first chapter to wet your appetite. Nowdays, you pay for it--like Robert Jordan's new novel, the prologue of which is going for an amazing [low price], as though it were a book all its own! At least there, the publisher tells the reader upfront, "this is the prologue to the novel that will be published in November." With "Recovery" it's billed as though it were a stand-alone novel taking place just before the events in "Star by Star"--a stand-alone novel, which is all of about 60 pages...make up your own mind, but I won't be returning for the next SW ebook.
