Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Brilliant Captive Writing Review: The sheer depth of understanding obtained from reading this book gives me goosebumps whenever I read it. I give this a high rating because of the high quility writing and story telling. The combinations of story, plot, and description suspend you deeply into a world were imagination and reality merge; where insights into our own culture bring you alongside the main characters as if you were part of their world, yet it seems as if they are also part of ours. Before reding this book, one should read "The Book of Ti'ana" first as that book goes deeper into the past of the D'ni empire, an ancient empire of people who carve their home from the very rock around them. The paperback version of "The Book of Atrus" is just as captivating as the original and definately worth reading
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Sad that its not real! Review: I have never read a book like this before,it captivates and enchants me! If you have not read this book you are missing out on THE best book ever! And any of you who don't agree keep your opinions to yourself! I love the way the d'ni (a race of people)can write books describing worlds and actually enter that world through the book. MYST RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A compelling novel filled with fantasies and Myst-eries Review: Atrus, son of Gehn was raised beneath the clefts of a desertedvolcano by his grandmother Anna. Throughout his childhood, Atrus hadlearned the values of life; of what is right and what is wrong. The day came when his father Gehn came back after 14 years of separation to bring him to the lost world of DÕni. Over the past 3 years with his father, Atrus had learned the secrets and the power of DÕni, the power to create and destroy worlds and life. After living in one of his fatherÕs created world known as Riven, Atrus feel in love with Catherine. Noticing that his father abuses his power, together Atrus and Catherine...well, it has a beautiful ending and I do not want to give it away...so read it yourself.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Simple, making every little thing that's happening stand out Review: Some books you're surrounded by everything at once. In the book "Myst" you can step into the surroudings and imagine it in detail. Miller creates a setting that is astonishing. It is original and simple. You see everything clearly. You follow Atrus as his life changes drastically from life in the cleft, light, to the underground in D'ni,darkness. How he goes through radical changes. How he is taught about his culture and his unknown abilities. The first time he writes in a Book. When he sees Catherine. The many different worlds in vividness. It's as if you're going through the death of Atrus' Flame. You can see the colors of the pool in the cleft. You're Anna feeling the rain pelting her sunburned face as that rare storm washes the valley. It seems as if you're in Atrus' shoes as he runs through the tunnels. You're Ghen as he gets trapped in another world. You learn the almost forgotten culture of D'ni with Atrus. From the cleft in the burning sand, the tunnels, D'ni, to the island of Myst. This book is something you have to experience yourself. It's something that will be read over and over(better get the hardback version). Better be ready for clarity--as in 3D. It's treacherous as you stumble along a path that cannot be determined. There could be a drop off around any corner..

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very very very good Review: This book is the best at explaining the mysteries of atrus
and his d'ni world i really liked it
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Interesting world vs. Dull plot Review: This book has an interesting world but a rather dull plot. It doesn't hold a candle to The Wheel of Time series but will probably satisfy any gamers or people who enjoy the more unique and new fantasy ideas
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Life was simple back then.... Review: I stayed up and read all night, only to arrive
at the beginning...is that all there is?
We thirst for more...
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Mystery Meets Mystifying Review: Robyn Miller does an excellent job writing the prequel to the best selling CD-rom video game "MYST".
The reader is constantly shot with an artillery of plot turns, twist, and tantalizing takes of a surprisingly realistic ancient life. "MYST - The Book of Atrus" dives into the human desire of invention and exploration, while highlighting the simple yet compicated life of a father and his son.
"MYST - The Book of Atrus" is for ones who like lively description and don't like to put a book down
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very Good Review: Myst: The Story of Atrus was an excellent book for Myst fananics and for non-Myst fanatics alike
