Summary: Too much Description on some parts
Review: The "Book of Atrus" was pretty good overall. However, the book had too much description on some parts of the book and not enough at others. That made it boring at times, and near the end i found myself wondering what Atrus looked like because they didn't tell what he looked like when he grew up. The ending was really good and surprised me. Overall i give it an 8 out of 10 because it had pretty good plot but it got boring at times.

Summary: A Very Good Book!
Review: When I finished playing Myst, I loved it, but was still a little MYST-ified by the surronding plot. Riven helped a little, but this book helped A LOT. I finally found out (although not in depth) about the fall of D'ni by Veovis, Age writing, the conflict between Atrus and Gehn, and how Atrus and Catherine met. A very good prequel to a very good computer game.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This clears up a lot of the MYSTeries.
Review: I enjoyed reading this book thoroughly. If you have played the games and not read the books, you need to. By reading the books, you will help yourself to understand the intricate history of the CD-Rom game. Even if you didn't like the games, you might want to read them anyway. Your interest might be sparked by these exciting and captivating literary works.

Summary: Great Book!!!!!!!!!
Review: I didn't get interested in Myst until my friend let me borrow the game. After that, I noticed that there was more stuffouit there accociated with Myst. I found Myst: The Book of Atrus first and was intrigued from the begining to the end. If you have read this book, I recommend also reading Myst: The Book of Ti'ana and Myst: the Book of D'ni. It is truly a great series!

Summary: This is the in-depth predessessor of the game Myst
Review: If you've played Myst and are feeling a little clueless, this book is a must read. This book is about the life of Atrus, one of the last members of the ancient race of D'ni. His father, Gehn, teaches him the Art of writing worlds into existence using special paper and ink. But all is not as it seems, and the last two D'ni turn to violence to solve their differences. But who will come out on top? The book has a shocking ending that will leave you wanting to read more about the D'ni and their ancient civilization. Summary: Brain Candy...
Review: I would have to say that this book, while not a prize winner, holds up well on its own. It has an interesting story and characters with whom you can empathize. At times the wording could be too flowery yet the story was fast enough that the reader could consider this brain candy...fun and easy to read.

Summary: Best book I've probably ever read!
Review: "The best book I've ever read" is a very good compliment for this book, because I ALWAYS read! Even on nights when I have to wake up early in the morning for school! I can stay up until 2:00 am, if a book is excellent. This was one of those books. I absolutely couldn't put it down!!! :)

Summary: A Spellbinding Prequel to the Blockbuster CD-ROM Game
Review: "Myst- The Book of Atrus. Hmmmm." I thought as I searched through the fiction section at the supermarket. "Sounds decent," I thought, as I threw it into the shopping cart. I had no idea what I was buying. Two days later, I emerged from the surrealistic enchantment that is The Book of Atrus. This book truly is a link into the life of Atrus, and into the world of D'ni. Vivid decriptions transport you across the universe, into worlds never thought possible. Myst- The Book of Atrus is a must read for any Person who either loves great fantasy, or is a lover of the Myst game.
