Summary: Not bad, but not great, either
Review: "Elvenblood" falls prey to several major problems with sequels: it's significantly shorter, less complex, more limited, and less careful than its predecessor. The plot is not as tightly constructed; the characters are not as well-developed. And it's full of glaring continuity errors. Didn't anybody read the series through to check facts?

But it's fun enough to read. I'll buy the third book.

Summary: An intense fantasy that does not leave out the darkside
Review: A superb next installment in the Halfblood Chronicles. The authors ingeniously lead the readers through both bitter and sweet moments in the lives of the characters. Acknowledging that only a realm showing both bad and good can truly be fully developed, I was glad to see another side of the elven world. This is a truly complete and fascinating realm to dive into.

Summary: More LaShana!!
Review: After reading The Elvenbane. I was a little bit dissapointed with Elvenblood. In the second halfblood chronicle Lashana is almost a secondary character in the plot. It does not have the same action/adventure/suspense combination that the Elvenbane had. However, it is not a bad book. If you have never read the Elvenbane, read it before you read this one. If you have, then you are going to like Elvenblood (I said like, not love).

Summary: Also Exceptionally Excellent!!!
Review: And the story goes on. If you have read Elvenbane, then you are gonna want to read this sequel with the same thirsty desire. If you havent read Elvenbane, read it, read this one, You will NOT be dissappointed. Gauranteed. I sure hope theres more to come on these chronicles.

Summary: Plus, there's a new one coming out soon
Review: called Elven Born!!! My friend Aleshia didn't believe me that it was a trilogy!! HA HA!!!

Summary: It was really, really good, but it needs a third book.
Review: From what I heard about it I thought it wasn't going to be that good, but I was completely wrong. It answered a lot of questions I had about Elvenbane. I liked the ending, but like someone else said it was just a little too rushed. I think if they made a third book it would still be pretty good. If anyone knows something I don't, like that there is a third book, please email me out of the kindness of your heart.

Summary: An Excellent Book
Review: I am a very picky reader. Not many books get to me but this was one of the few. I laughed, I cried, and I read non-stop. If you like fiction/fantasy and you like AD&D ( Advanced Dungeons and Dragons) this book is for you.

Summary: *Very well done*
Review: I don't think you understand how much i love this series of books! Although i have to agree that the first book: Elvenbane was a tad better...this was a truely great sequel...the characters weren't as drawn out as in the first but with the fast pace of the plot you can't really blaim them...lol. Whats this about a 3d book?..oh oh please keep me informed!!!

Summary: There needs to be a third book!
Review: I found this book, like Elvenbane, to be completely fascinating, keeping my interest all the way through. In this book you learn more about the vastly different lives of the humans, elves, and dragons, and a lot happens. All in all, in my opinion it was a very good book. I only have one qualm: the ending was too hurried. It was one of those all-of-a-sudden-no-explanations endings, the kind that might bug people who like absolute closure in a book. I think that this series would benefit greatly if it were a trilogy instead. Other that that, it was a success! (-:

Summary: Poorly Written/Edited & but decent story
Review: I liked both this book and its predecessor but I thought both were poorly written and edited, the second more so than the first. The beginning of the first book started well, with rich descriptions of the world and the things in them, but by the end of the book I felt like I was being told a story by a child who was making things up as he/she went along. This book had a very similar feeling, except without the rich description in the beginning. Both books seemed rushed toward the end of the story.

It almost seemed that the book was quickly penned during a "rap session" between the two authors but was never "smoothed out." There's even one part in the book when two character's names are substituted for one another. It made me begin to wonder if anyone REALLY read (not just scanned) the book before it was published.

Keep in mind I did really enjoy this book as well as the first, and it was definitely a nice change of pace to see a lot of things happen in one book (unlike the sometimes molasses like pace of the most recent books by Robert Jordan). I just wish the book(s) had a bit more polish and depth to them. It's a very interesting world with a lot of potential, but it just doesn't seem as well developed as some of the others from different series.
