Summary: A fun book of adventure that connects to the next series
Review: I would have to say that this book is a great connection book to the Serpentwar series. Nicholas even though he is deformed leads an heroic effort to find what has attacked Martin's home and to rescue two women he loves dearly. Another 5 +++ Star book.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I'm a big fan of the Rift War Saga. As a matter of fact, I read fantasy today because I so enjoyed that series so many years ago. However, I was very disappointed in this book. The plot was trite and the characters did not have the depth that I'm accostomed to seeing in Feist's writing. In addition, some characters from the Rift War Saga seemed like completely new people with no explanation of the change in personality. After starting the Serpent War Saga, I understood that this entire book was only a long, boring prologue to his new long, boring saga. However, I keep reading Feist in the hopes that he will again show the originality and character development that made me love the Rift War Saga.

Summary: Am I gushing about this book? You bet I am!
Review: In this sequel to Prince of the Blood, author Raymond Feist takes us back to his magical world of Midkemia. It is nine years after the events of the previous book, and Aruthu is looking to season his youngest son, Nicholas. However, when that most unusual of wizards, Nakor, shows up, it is the start of a whirlwind adventure! Nicholas has to overcome his own fears if he is to stay alive...and save the whole world!

This is another great Raymond Feist book. I don't know if I would call it his best, as I loved all of the earlier books in the series, but it is definitely up there! Once again, as in Prince of the Blood, Mr. Feist does an excellent job of introducing the reader to several interesting and exotic settings, employing fascinating characters and a positively gripping storyline. Am I gushing about this book? You bet I am!

So, I would say that this is a simply excellent fantasy book, one of the best that was ever written, and I highly recommend it to you. Buy this book!

Summary: The Prelude to the Serpentwar Saga.
Review: In this side adventure in Midkemia, we get our first taste of the new continent, Novindus, and meet some new evil villains. The book concentrates on Nicholas, the deformed youngest son of Prince Arutha and Princess Anita.

It is an interesting story, much the same as the other side adventure, Prince of the Blood. There is a large adventure element combined with a bit of intrigue and suspense.

Most importantly, we get to see more of the incredible world of Midkemia!

Summary: One of Feist's better efforts
Review: It isn't the Riftwar saga, but it sure is better than Prince of the Blood. Prince Nicholas is far more likeable than his brothers, and in Buccaneer we get to have a look at Crydee twenty years after the war. Set thirty years after the end of the Riftwar, this book provides a set up for the Serpentwar by describing a trip to the continent of Novindus beyond the Endless Sea, after Crydee is attacked by sea.

Other old characters are Ghuda and Nakor the Isalani, Amos Trask and Duke Martin. I thoroughly enjoyed King's Buccaneer, and I recommend that you read it before reading the Serpentwar Saga.

Summary: VERY ENTERTAINING!
Review: Just as good as the best Riftwar books...Worth the read!

Summary: Close-off of a brilliant saga
Review: Like Mr.Feist is known for,in this last part of the saga a brilliant realistic feeling of closeness to the characters is felt and one learns to love his way of writing, making The Kings Buccaneer, according to me just as good as `Magician`.The conbination of action and emotion binds you to this book and you will not put it down .

Summary: The excellense of Feist!
Review: Of all the books of Feist that I've read this is my absolute favourite. It mixes suspence with magic and wit. When I read it I felt as if I knew all the characters and was regarded by them as a close friend, to let me come along on such an adventure. That is the brilliance of Feist, he introduces the characters and then lets them evolve into thinking and fealing persons. Many writers never reaches that plane where thier characters lead their own life
