Rating: Summary: the books of the mallorian Review: these are an absolutly captivating read, along the lines of greatness that is associated with that ot the lord of the rings From the first time I picked up the books I was captivated they are very easy and intense reading which came to hand purly through chance I would reccomend to anybody old and young alike to follow the stories of belgarion, aunte pol and belgarth as you will be astounded by thier easy and by thier brilliance..
Rating: Summary: This book is the best one I've ever read!!!!!!! Review: This whole seerie of books is the best I've ever read. When you read it, it feels like you know the persons in the book, and you see pictures of them infront of you.
I have read the books in swedish, and I would just like to say, that the translater (I don't remember his name) has done a VERY good job to!!!
Rating: Summary: sharp wit makes it a success! Review: To the reader from Mt Vernon. It is obvious that you have no idea what is involved when influencing events with the Will and the Word. No they are not omnipotent creatures. That would have been an easy course to choose and I think it is an insult to David Eddings for not taking his chracters into context before slating the book. I would advise you to read the Rivan Codex to be placed into context. It will prove to be very helpful. The addition of Sadi to this motely crew is a welcoming breath of fresh air. Not to say that the rest are stale, it is just that he has a charming wit about him that is hypnotic. The additions of Demons to this plot is a bit odd, but it works, and rather well might I add. It was also very delightfulto read into the character known as Beldin, and his virtually holy emnity towards Urvon. That is brilliantly developed. In the first series we are given bits of hgistory of the Grolims and in this series we see three majot players on the field of sorcery. Agachak is simply wonderful as a cadvader-like hierach. King of the Murgos was well-written as well. The clash between the Demon Lord Nahaz and the troupe is good. I simply enjoyed it when Urvon and the rest of the Grolims went into collective apoplexy. The addition of Mengha as a minor rash of a character is wonderful. I assume he is there to replace the gap of Asharak in the first series. The role of Zakath, or should I say Kal Zakath is excellent in it's portrayal of a man who is bent on world-domination, but is really not inherently evil. It seems similar to a James Bond theme, but I won't go there at all. I am delighted to have read this book and it kept me salivating all the way to the end. Many thanks to a writer who has grown in his art and thought of the lowly masses!
Rating: Summary: The Malloreon ! Review: Well for me the Malloreon Book one and The belgariad are the best books i have ever seen on the face of this planet!!! I love the characters Relg , Taiba , Belgarath , the gorim i think this is one of the VERY BESTEST books in the world. I also like the way the caprtures Jarvikscom and Rheon. I also likesd in the other books how Garion grew up etcetc. !!!!
Rating: Summary: Keep on keepin on... Review: While true, the story of the Belgariad could have been told in less than five books, I enjoyed stretching out the time with the characters. It's like family members, you don't necessarily need to be doing something all the time. Simply spending time with them is what you really enjoy. While the plot of Demon Lord of Karanda may not have been more than a sidetrack to lenghten Edding's contract to 5 books, those who enjoy the characters could have read through five more with great joy. At least there isn't just one plot within the story of Garion, just as there isn't just one plot in anyone's lives at any given time. The entire series is simply a joy to read.
