Summary: A waste of money if you own the tales trilogy
Review: This book is ok except for one thing. Three of the five stories are already published in the first through third tales trilogy. Something i didnt realize until after i had bought the novel. Go buy the tales trilogys before you buy this. They're better and have more to offer

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent and Captivating
Review: This book is teriffic. It picks-up beautifully where the first couple trilogies drop-off. I recomend it highly. It introduces you to new characters in a brilliant and creative way.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not as good as most Wies\Hickman books.
Review: This book just wasn't the same calibur as the Chronicles trilogy. It didn't have the descriptiveness or the complex characters. Sturm having a child with Kitiara would never happen, and if it did sturm would beg forgiveness to Paladine and commit suicide. If you are looking for another great weis\hickman book don't bye this. Bye Legends or Dragons of Summer Flame.

Summary: Excellent
Review: This book was entirely awesome. Please ignore all others that top this page, they really have no idea what they're talking about! Steel is my favorite, and should be enjoyed by every other who reads this, this awe-inspiring novel. Please, if you want my opinoun, order this book. You won't be sorry.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good yet Confusing book
Review: This book was good except for the fact that there wasnt much detail in certain parts and it seemed as if things would just suddenly happen out of nowhere.

I still love Weis and Hickman but this book was not one of their bests!

Review: This book wasn't too good. There were a couple of the storys which kind of made up for it though, and that is the only reason I did not give it three stars. I would recomend reading it though, because it explains a lot about the children of the heroes of the lance, and is very helpfull to know this info before you read dragons of summer flame. All in all it was pretty good but I would only recomend it to a dragonlance reader, and not just some person who loves fantasy and wants to read a first dragonlance good book. That last sentence didn't make a whole lot of sense, but you know what I mean.

Summary: Hmm...
Review: This collection of stories is probably meant to be an interlude between the first sagas and the Summer Flame. For that purpose it's good enough. Some of the stories are rather stupid (especially the one about Sturm's son), but the Reorx story was actually quite funny and the one about Tanis's son is just as good as you can hope. Raistlin's daughter? Well, maybe that one wasn't meant to be taken seriously. I certainly hope it wasn't.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent for its purpose
Review: This collection of stories was a good bridge between times in the world of Krynn. I cetrainly enjoyed reading about new characters as well as old. However, I do want to comment about another review on this book. One reviewer writes that he rated this book 7 stars because of a "false" tale in the book, and that he has "proof" about it. Certainly I hope that he/she doesn't believe EVERYTHING that he/she reads, and that it was made clear in the novel, and I quote, "...that the reader should be forewarned, however, that my friends and I regard it as veritable gossip" and that it is stressed several times that it is a LEGEND. He/She goes off that if we doubt him, that we can go check in Dragons of Summer Flame. I ask you, who ever said Raistlin was telling the truth? I surely hope that you don't rate books by things like this, and that Amazon.com, though I thoroughly have appreciated their quality service in the past, accepts "reviews," if that is what it can be called, of this nature. (One can obviously tell that I am also bored, or else I wouldn't be critiquing others)

Summary: The Children of Heros, follow the path of their parents.
Review: This is the first and definetly not the last Dragonlance book I have read. The only reason I did not give this book a 10 is that if I read a better Dragonlance book (which is very unlikely) there will be no way to put it above this one. Even without knowing the stories of the Heros of the Lance I could follow this book. This book is comprised of several short stories which are all very intriguing. Caramon and Tanis go on another adventure to try and convert Kitiara's son to the path of light. Tanis Half-Elven's son is kidnapped and becomes a very important member of Elven society. Palin Majere is sent to the Abyss where he is sent to find Raistlin and take his test. The rumor of Raistlin having a daughter is proven to be true. The mother of the child is completely unexpected. Sturm, Tanin, and Palin Majere go on their first adventure together. They are tricked into searching for the Graygem with a god. A true Dragonlance fan must read this action packed novel to see what happens to these new heros. I look foward to reading Dragons of Summer Flame to learn about the continuing adventures of these new heros

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good...unfortunately something is missing
Review: Ths is a good book overall, but it is definitely short in one area...action. There are very few fight scenes in this book which kind of kills the fantasy part of it. But it is still good, more so because it introduces the new characters to the story so people will understand what is going on in Dragons of Summer Flame. It helps develop the characters for the NOVEL that comes after it so consider it a necessary prelude. While I don't recommend it to the casual reader if you are a fantasy buff you should pick it up if only to learn of the new players in the Chaos War.
