Summary: Great Trilogy Glue
Review: I really enjoyed this book as an introduction to the offspring of the Heroes. I haven't had a chance to keep up with all of the new characters and was quite befuddled when I picked up Dragons of Summer Flame. In that book I got the sneaking suspicion that I should already *know* these characters & kept waiting for an introduction. The Second Generation anthology fills that gap nicely. Now I can dive back into Summer Flame with all the background I need!

Granted, some of the stories might not be the best that Weis & Hickman have ever come up with. But this anthology serves its purpose nicely (and stop knocking "Wanna Bet," do they have to be serious *all* of the time?). I can't wait to find out more about these characters (especially Steel & Palin!). If you're coming back to Dragonlance after a long hiatus, be sure to pick this book up first!

Summary: THe Second Group
Review: I was pretty sad when the first batch of stories ended, so I was delighted to hear about the new book about the kids of the people in the first books. Most of the original flavor has been retained, and on the whole it's a very good book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: this is a great book
Review: In this collecton of short stories, Weis and Hickman introduce us to the children of the Heroes of the Lance. The first story is about the child of Kitiara and another suprising person.

The next story is of Caramon and Tika's son Palin. This short story also clears up some of the mystery about Raistlin.

The third story details an adventure Palin has with his brothers, Tanin and Sturm, and a mysterious dwarf aboard a gnomish sea vessel.

The fourth story is the supposed myth that Raistlin fathered a child.

The final story is about Tanis's son Gilthas nad the failing elven community.

I liked this collection of stories very much. In my opinion this is definitly a good buy.

Summary: some of stories were good..others.....stupid!
Review: Raistlin's daugter was well writed but stupid story

"Wanna bet?" was the best story of the book! I really loved that how they told about Caramon's boys.I think it wasnt very clever done, go almost naked and swordless help some women...but that was teh idea...This is exellent story...

'Legacy' tells about Palin's, Caramon's son test. what really happene. Caramon didnt like that, but none didnt ask of him.

Last story about Tanis's son was most stupidest and poorest story of the book...I almost end t without reading to end.Tanis's son Gilthas ...king ....oh god...

Summary: Second Generation- one of their best!
Review: Second Generation, a Dragonlance book by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis, was super. They brought together short stories of all of the things that have happened in the Dragonlance saga and more. You may have heard rumors that Raistlin had a daughter? Well, that rumor is confirmed in this book. Also, you will hear the story of Kitiara's son, who WILL surprise you. The only reason it got a rating of a 7 was because it had a few stories that I had already read in the previously released Tales series. Overall, it was a great book, and I would recommend it to everyone who has an interest in the Dragonlance saga.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A great transition to the Dragons of Summer of Flame.
Review: The Second Generation is a good book if read without having read the Chronicals, but it is a great book if you did. This continues the dragonlance saga into the next group of adveturers that we will read about for the next set of dragonlance books. The second generation tells of the children of Caramon and Tika, Tanis and Laurana, Rastlin and an ogre, and even the young knight Strum Brightblade who was seduced by Caramon's and Rastlin's Sister Kitiara. Please read this AFTER The Chronicals AND BEFORE the Dragons of Summer Flame.

Review: The stories told here are all worthwhile IF you haven't already read them. Unfortunately, 3 of the 5 stories were already published in the origional Tales anthologies, so make sure that you aren't wasting your money here.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good book to end a long series
Review: This anthology is a great way to kick off the hordes of Anthologies being pulled out: bring in the best stories and a few new ones. It certainly, however, could have been better. While I enjoy (most) of Weis and Hickman's DragonLance stories, I feel the book could have benefitted by adding in other author's works.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great book that bridges gaps in the story line
Review: this book bridges gaps in the story line from the legends series to the books about the Chaos war era.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best!!!!
Review: This book is BEST fantasy book I've read so far. I just started Dragons of Spring Dawning. Let's hope its just as good. I can relate to Palin and Steel. Because they remind me of myself in different ways. Keep'em coming Mr. Hickman and Mrs. Weis.
