Rating: Summary: hey it's me again. Review: In response to all the people asking about reviewing a book that hasn't even been released yet, it has kinda turned into a "Praise Goodkind" kinda thing. Now that I think about it, that IS kinda dumb. I mean, people going on line to praise Goodkind in a review of his 5th book, is kinda like a missionary trying to convert the converted. A person looking for a new series isn't going to go to Amazon and randomly pick the fifth book in a series. so, guys, i'm sorry. If i could delete my previous review, I would. People don't need to write how great the Sword of Truth series in the review of SOF, those who come to look for it already know. besides, if you want to do that, go to a discussion board.Thanks.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST YET!!!! Tolkien's got nothing on Goodkind! Review: Oh man, between Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time and Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth, I feel that the "Tolkien Age" may have finally come to a close. These two series have kept me so busy these past couple years, kept my head spinning in ways Tolkien could only dream of! I have read both series countless times over and over again and every time I read them again, I learn something new. As I like to say it, something else "clicks" into place and you got to step back and say "Oh, so that's what that meant." I would like to meet Mr. Goodkind and by him a drink or...twelve. As an aspiring author,I can't say what body parts I'd give up to spend five minutes looking at his notebook.
Rating: Summary: BAD Review: What a horrible book? DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: One of my favorites...NO DOUBT! Review: I must say that this series is one of the best...and I have read all the greats. There is one thing that I tresure about these wonderful books is the fact that each and every one has some sort of moral-lesson...or deeper meaning. Something that the average person can do to improve their way of life. I must admit that Richard and Kahlan's heart-jerking struggles usually bring me to tears more often than not. That alone is something of acheievement...If you can make a "manly-man"...like myself...cry... Well, you have done something. =) This is also an excellent book to make a "fantasy skeptic" read...more oftern than not, they will come begging to borrow the next in the series. It can be a wonderful tool for gloating. =) Nevertheless, this series is in a class by itself. Yes,...it has simularities to Jordan, but who cares...IT A MASTERPIECE!!!!
Rating: Summary: I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! Review: I love the sword of truth series, I can't wait to read the 5th book! The story line is original and emotional. Asuka
Rating: Summary: amazing!!!!!!! Review: Amazing...that might be the only word that we can all use to describe the characters and storyline of the SOT series. All we can do now is just pass the time by reading other great fantasy novels such as The Deathgate Cycle (Hickman & Weis) and The Dragon Nimbus(History) by Irene Radford while awaiting the fifth (and hopefully not the last) book in the SOT series.
Rating: Summary: Here's how to pass time until 4-13-99 Review: Well, reading the commentry here, I see there's quite a big fan club for this really extraordinary series. Me, as well as all the others here that are not anti-Goodkind party members, am waiting in outgrowing patience for the long awaited SOF. In the meanwhile, I'd like to recommend what I've been reading for the past 6 monthes, waiting: "The Gift" by Patrick Oleary - Read the review I've put there. It's AWESOM! "The Black Company" series by Geln Cook. This is an all-about-going-out-to-war series. All you guys who liked BOTF and StOT, where war is detailed - you'll love this. "Legends" - if anyone here didn't get this one, you're missing a whole section of Goodkind's SOT chronicles. In the meanwhile - Chewing on my nails, and waiting. T-23.
Rating: Summary: Waiting,Waiting, Waiting,....... Review: Terry Goodkind is the best fantasy writer I have ever had the pleasure of discovering. I sure do hope he continues his work for many years to come. Each book in the Series I have read (4) so far I could not put down, Tolkien's, ages ago had a near effect but nothing I have read has ever come this close to perfect fantasy reading as the Sword of Truth Series. Can hardly wait any longer for Soul of the Fire... I have been reading alot of other fantasy fiction stuff to pass the time I am waiting for Terry's vol.5, reccommend; Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman, Darksword series, anything by Anne McCaffrey , Pern dragonrider series, Raymond Feist,Gene Wolfe,Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey,Elvenbane and Elvenblood. Hurry TOR Hurry.
Rating: Summary: Goodkind's books give insight from the book to the society. Review: I like to read The Sword of Truth series. It is challenging mentally while other books are not as much. This is the first time that I read thick books such as 500 pages or more and I felt Goodkind has drawn my attentions to further reading books like this series. I hope to see more books published not just up to 5 from this series.
Rating: Summary: Fabulous Review: What can I say it is FABULOUS. I know some of you readers think that your books are better than these books, well your WRONG. Goodkind is the BEST. No one else comes close. Keep up the awesome work Terry.
