Rating: Summary: Best book ever written. Review: My first Arthurian legend experience was with Mary Stewart, and T.H. White's supposed masterpiece, which I read subsequently, paled, no turned a nasty shade of green in comparison.
Rating: Summary: This book was great!!!!!! Review: I thought that this book was da bomb
Rating: Summary: The best Merlin trilogy ever! Review: I loved this book! Mixing adventure, romance, and magic, you get a great book, and that's what this is! I enjoyed the part when he was 12, because that's my age aswell! I also liked the descriptions!
Rating: Summary: Simply put, A great read. Review: Mary Stewart's version of the legend of King Arthur and Merlin is by far one of the best I've ever read.
Rating: Summary: These books are treasures to be read again and again! Review: I have read all the 'Merlin' books. I have read them countless times and they just get better and better with each reading. They put Magic in the air and give you a fantastic read. You can't put them down until you finish.
Rating: Summary: A rip roarin' adventure Review: I've reread this book many times over the last ten years and love it! It's a fine adventure for anyone who loves the King Arthur legends.
Rating: Summary: it was a good story with a good plot! Review: it was an awesome story line and plot, yet at some times it was difficult to understand. Although i would reccomend it to anyone to read!
Rating: Summary: The BEST version of the Merlin that I have ever read!! Review: Mary Stewart is a master of writing about Arthurian legends and times. Not only have I read the Merlin Trilogy, which I intend to buy, but also the Wicked Day and The Prince and the Pilgrim.
Rating: Summary: One to read over and over again! Review: I've read the trilogy four or five times in the past ten years. I love to pick it up and go through it again. I'm well familiar with every single page!! I'm glad Mary Stewart did not include The Evil Day in the collection -- I prefer to end the story after the Last Enchantment! The magic is still there. It is a lovely fantasy to read over and over again.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful insight into the 'real' life & times of Merlin. Review: Mary Stewart has a gift for making real the people and customs of time out of mind.
