Summary: The series tortured my Heart, and redeemed it. All 6 times!
Review: I have read this series several times, and each time it has played the full spectrum of my emotions . These books will take you from the depths of despair, to the heights of inspiration. And you will learn alot about yourself on the way. While I consider Tolkein to be a great fantasy writer, Donalson writes about the Soul. These books are as much a study of humanity as they are fantasy. In my opinion, Donaldson's work outshines all others.

Summary: Fantastic Fantasy!
Review: A classic story of Good Guys and Bad Guys, with a twist. Placed in another dinension of reality in a place called the Land where magic and fantastic powers are routine. I've read the entire 6 book series about 3 times in 15 years, and enjoy it more at each reading. Enjoy!

Summary: Excelent Starting Book for a Superb Story
Review: The story of Covenant is a great one, the way he stephen Donaldson writes, the form that he builds his character and unfolds the history, the events.., all. the way the reader feels, sure it is a series where the only thing the reader wont do is to stay calm. In fact the 6 books are So good. That are read tireless.

Summary: Simply The Greatest Series Books That I Have Ever Read!!
Review: Donaldson's epic series of books chilled me to the bone the first time that I was fortunate enough to stumble upon it, and it still entices me to this day. The rich detail in which he describes "The Land" is complete and utter mastery. The simple fact that he went there has almost inspired me to go to college in ohio! Thank you Stephen R. Donaldson, you literary GOD!! your books were the first ones that I had ever read, and they served to whet my appititefor good Fantasy-reading.

Summary: Only for anti-hero fans
Review: Donaldson`s Covenant trilogy is a very strange undertaking. He chooses an unlikely hero, a leper who is anything, but your average fantasy hero. In fact his major concern is how to keep out of things. Of course this doesn`t work for him and he unwillingly destroys everyone around him. For three long volumes we see him struggling. The choice of such a hero and the idea that whole story unfolds only in his imagination is exciting, but the ending is not true to itself. At the very end (after nearly everyone has died)the main character who has not been able to do anything positive in the past three books, suddenly transforms into a real hero, who defeats the enemy with his supernatural powers. This is a very, very disappointing ending to the story, because it goes against the whole plot of the book.

One other thing. This book is strictly for native english speakers (even they will have difficulty).

Summary: The book with unmatched worth
Review: I cant describe what thous Chronicles meant to me. It is an ungrateful job to be critic or the judge... anyway First and the Second Cronichles of Thomas Covenant are full of knowledge about anything that has the roots in divine pure. Stephen R. Donaldson in the man with without a match. J R Tolkin is good but it cant be even close to Mr. Donaldson. His even stronger than Dostojevski (in serbian writtings).

Summary: All that this series misses is great dialogue
Review: In richness of description and imagination, the Thomas Covenant series is on the highest tier. Donaldson excels in the storytelling sense of "putting you there". My one complaint has to do with the dialogue between and inconsistency of various main characters. Visual and psychological description is beautiful but dialogue is so key to a great story. What is my opinion of fine wordplay? Check "The Hobbit" for the confrontation between Smog and the Bilbo. I can safely attest that in terms of description, Donaldson is second the none. His writing is poetic, vigorous, and visually enlightning. The passages describing the "healing of the Land" by Avery Linden in Book 6 left me stunned. Beautiful stuff.

Summary: A MUST READ FOR FANTASY LOVERS!
Review: One cannot describe him/herself as a fan of fantasy literature until you have read the entire Thomas Covenant series by Stephen Donaldson. They are gut-wrenching, mesmerizing, absolutely impossible to put down, and unforgettable. I read this series while in high school, and the impact still resonates. One of the all-time classics in fantasy, ranks close second to Tolkien and towers above everything else.

Summary: An epic masterpiece of fantasy.
Review: Donaldson spins a tale that no one else could. A story that contains all the aspects of great fantasy, but whose main character believes in none of those aspects. This is one of the greatest works I have ever read. Donaldson's flawless portrayal of an utterly tortured soul (Thomas Covenant) is truly awe-inspiring to any experienced reader.

Summary: Read it and expect to lose a few days of your life
Review: I've had the Thomas Covenant series (one and two) for years now, and I still reread them one in a while. Enough people have described the book, so all I'll add is: pick up the first book in the first series. If you don't like it, obviously don't bother to read the next one. If you do, just go ahead and buy the rest of the series, and find a nice quite place to read. You won't be able to stop reading until you get to the very very end.
