Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS IN FANTASY
Review: I fell in love with the dragonlance novels when I was in high school, when I was into the AD&D thing. It has been years since i read these books and dusted them off again. If you love fantasy you will love this book. I love Raist- thats hard to say from a born again Christain- but I do. this book is great As all the Weis-Hickman books are

Summary: Not QUITE as good as CHRONICLES.
Review: If this first book is any indication, this series won't be quite as good as DRAGONLANCE CHRONICLES. Not that I didn't enjoy reading this book...it was thoroughly enjoyable. It just wasn't as gripping as the first series. I found it very difficult to put down any of those three books. With this one, it was no big deal to me to put the book down when it was time to go to bed. This book focuses more on the characters than on the adventure. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of adventure to go around. It's just that Weis and Hickman seem to be focusing more on the characters of Caramon and Raistlin and their relationship to each other than on how many bad guys they can wade through. In this book, Caramon begins to realize just how evil his brother really is. We see him in denial and, as the book progresses, we seem him slowly come to realize how far beyond redemption Raistlin is. Aside from these two main characters, we also get to see Tasslehoff mature as a character. We see how truly devoted he is to his friends and that he does have a deep sense of commitment to those he calls his friends.

The adventure side was neat, even if it wasn't the true focus of the book. We get a good look at Istar before the Cataclysm and the events that led up to it. Very intriguing.

If you've read the CHRONICLES, this will definitely be an enjoyable read for you. If not, I suggest you read those three books (DRAGONS OF AUTUMN TWILIGHT, DRAGONS OF WINTER NIGHT, and DRAGONS OF SPRING DAWNING) first.

Summary: Better Than Chronicles, But Read Chronicles First
Review: This is the first book of the "Legends" trilogy, which is better than the "Chronicles" saga in many ways:

1) The writing is better because Weis' characters aren't as facile and idiotic.

2) There are fewer key figures, and they are in smaller groups, so the narration doesn't get bogged down as much as when ther eare eight companions travelling together.

3) The story is more expansive.

The legends trilogy is a book about the ambition of Raistlin, the powerful mage cum archmage who now sets out to destroy the Goddess of Evil. I whole-heartedly recommned this book to anyone who liked Raistlin in the Chronicles.

Summary: Very Nice
Review: This book is great. The set books, taken as a whole (as they must be), is very good. Not quite as exciting as the first 3 Chronicles books, but interesting none the less.

Summary: God Bless Tasselhoff!
Review: Just finished reading this book and found it quite different than the Chronicles. But that doesn't mean it wasn't good. A lot less action packed that the Chronicles, its battles are ones of the mind. Each character struggles with the choices that they must make, even Raistlin has his moment of stuggle. I must admit it started to get frustrating, I would be thinking "When is this ever going to go anywhere?" then Tas would say something that would break that frustration and the next thing you know you have the next clue. Tas goes through a change in this book that is quite interesting. Then it ends leaving you dying to pick up the next book, even more so than the Chronicles. If you enjoyed the Chronicles and are a fan of either Raistlin, Caramon or Tas, then pick this up, I guarantee you will nto be disappointed.

Review: It was a really enchanting book that i couldn't put down. Once i started into it i couldn't put it down. I can't wait to get into the other two books and dig deep.

Summary: One man ambition and the bonds that unites all...
Review: Time of the Twins is the first volume of the "Legends" trilogy. The story starts 2 years after the finals events of the "Chronicles" trilogy. If you are not familiar with the series, i recommend reading the first book of "Chronicles", "Dragons of Autumn Twilight". While not fundamental to the story, you will experience the tale from the beginning and see what is all about. This will certainly enhance your experience with the "Legends" trilogy, and if you have liked the first books, you will enjoy this new series. They are great books to introduce someone to fantasy. Just be sure to start with the "Chronicles".

Now about this one:

After the War of the Lance, Raistlin, "master of past and of present", reclaimed the Tower of High Sorcery in Palanthas. And now, his ambition knows no limit. His brother Caramon, the kender Tassheloff and Crysania, a cleric of Paladine, will join efforts in an attempt to bring him back to the path of light. But the task is much greater than anyone imagined, dragging them into a cycle no one could have predicted and that will surely shape the future, for better or for worse.

The story is more slow than the "Chronicles" trilogy. It's not about defeating evil armies. It's a great story about one man ambition and the bonds that unite us all, even when we don't realize...

Readers familiar with the series will surely enjoy this book, especially fans of a certain black robed wizard, with golden skin and hourglass eyes.

Summary: This trilogy SUCKS
Review: Im tellin' you, in real life, Fistandantilus would have turned Raistlin into ash, not the other way around! this book is not realistic! Hear, hear! I expect absolute realism in fantasy books! In fact, I'm beginning to doubt whether these characters really exist! no da!

Summary: Best Action-Adventure-Fantasy Book.
Review: I have read the book DragonLance Legends Volume 1: Time of the Twins. I think the DragonLance series would be perfect for people who like action-adventure-fantasy books. I also think that it would be a great book for people with a higher reading level. I would recomend this book for future readers.

Summary: Tine of the Twins
Review: OK. The book in whole was good but I kinda was a little skeptical in the first several chapters when Tas is the one leading everyone around. It didn't seem like him and it made me a little annoyed. After he went "back to normal" as you could say, I enjoyed it. it was interesting and had some suspense. it was preety funny at some parts too. I would like to read the other two but I'm not THAT intersted. All in all it gives hints on the other 'companions' lives after the wars, which is good too. It's mostly a book if you're a Caramon and Raistlin fan or (in my case) a Tasselhoff fan.
