Summary: BAD! Overly Violent, poor character development, plot dies
Review: The other books in this series had much more to offer. This one is quite poor. I wouldn't recommend buying it - certainly not in hardcover. Terry seems to focus on brutal violence often linked to sexuality. This is truly sick stuff. The other books had bits of this, but here there is little else. I regret reading this one. There is too much good out there to waste time with this book.

Review: One of the problems with reading a series in progress is the annual bout of anticipation anxiety. I had a BAD case of it awaiting TEMPLE OF THE WINDS, and my hopes were completely fulfilled. I thought BLOOD OF THE FOLD was a little thinplot-wise as well as page-wise (I love this series so much I was astonished that BOTF was so short!) but Terry has made up for that (minor) shortcoming admirably with this fourth volume, a gripping yarn that shows his talents at their fullest flowering. No one is able to make your adrenalin pump more strongly, and the last hundred pages of TOTW went by unbelievably fast. Terry pays for our breathless anticipation by making us read breathlessly. I am always scared to death every time Richard gets into a scrape, and the conflict in this book is masterfully presented. The resolution brought forth a loud "WOW!" from me. I can't wait for the fifth volume. Having started the series less than two years ago, I was able to slake my thirst pretty regularly. Now I'm in for a lethal dose of anticipation anxiety!

Summary: The best fantasy novel since Tolkien
Review: I thought the book were goin' to be this great fantsy novel where the prince saves the princess and get's the other half of the kingdom. I was wrong. Goodkind manage to do something I think only Tolkien managed to do and that was to make his characters out of the ordinary life, for
example a simple woodsguide and therefore I think oneself could think oneself into the character a lot easier. I like the way he builds up the
plot in this book even though he misses it himself a bit. The book's clearly worth byin' even though it may cost you some bucks it's still
worth it. I hope all of you Goodkind fans out there buy this book because you surely wouldn't wanna' miss the greatest fantasy novel
of this decade so far, would you?

Summary: The Seeker
Review: "Temple of the Winds" is brilliantly written and i believe to be well thought out by Terry Goodkind. Since i've read "Wizards First Rule" Terry Goodkind has moved to my number 1 spot of best authors. I believe that Terry has yet again outdone himself. This 4th tale presented to us is very, very well written. Terry has laid the foundation for many books to come by using his unique talent for looking ahead. It is almost like he knows how the story ends before he even begins to write it. This gives the adventures of Richard Rahl a sort of unearthly effect. I am one fan that will definitly be outside of the bookstore before opening day of book five. Terry has created a new world for me and many others to escape into. Thanks Terry!!

Summary: A solid continuation of the Sword of Truth series
Review: A great can't-put-it-down novel, with much of the same flair and funk that the first 3 books contain. Like many other reviewers, however, I question the repeated use of sexual abuse as a plot element, however shocking it may be. I also fear that some reviews may be somewhat biased toward the success of the other novels in the series -- perhaps we all are reluctant to admit it? Overall, a terrific, unique novel in itself -- I find myself counting the days until "the fifth element" of the series appears.

Summary: A wonderfullly written captivating novel
Review: This book lives up to Terry Goodkinds previous novels. It was a captivating novel that was difficult to put down until the end. The only negative criticism was the ending. It seemed rushed and came together too quickly. There were some unexpected twists at the end however all in all it was an excellent book.

Review: "Temple of the Winds" was, in my opinion, a great book, but unfortunatly i feel that the series is slowly slipping away from Mr. Goodkind. I think that the deadlines and the pressure of his publisher are causing his stories to slowly degrade into the typical Sci-Fi that the market is already full of. I love the characters in the stories because of their unique personalities, and the SOT world is full of variety, but the thing that made "Wizards first rule" so wonderful(the plot) is being sucked away. After Tor is finished with Terry, i think it would be wonderful if he went back, as did Lucas with the Star Wars series, and put in all the little things that that would really make the series flow, or redo the parts that that, well.... need redoing. All in all it was an OK book, but if you're listening Terry, please slow down and think more about the plot!

Review: I have read all of the Sword of Truth series in a similar fashion: I pick up the book and don't put it down until it's done. The Temple of the Winds is no exeption. It is just as great of a book as its predecesors. I think that anyone who can read the English language should pick it up!!

Summary: Terry Goodkind's Temple of the Winds
Review: I read Temple of the Winds and cant help but feel that Terry Goodkind is really going downhill. This book wasn't exciting at all and I can't help but feel that Terry might be disturbed due to his over reliance on rape, castration and gross brutality to furthur the plot. I certainly won't be buying the next book! Poor show Terry.

Review: The series the Sword of Truth is the best I have ever read. A love story and adventure mixed with magic and mystery I cant wait for the fith book.
