Rating: Summary: Good but not as good as the last ones Review: Good book but not as good as first 3.... To much trash about what happened in last 3 books and too much explanation who is who. Beginning was boring because of this. Middle and the end were great. Give us more action and less explanation about what happened in books before.
Rating: Summary: Best Book Available. Period Review: I consider myself fairly well-read in the realm of fantasy and this book is by far the best available. I have never read a book that has made me feel such emotion and awe that I felt while reading "Temple Of The Winds". There is no excuse for not buying this book. If there is any book worthy of being bought than this is it.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing sequel Review: I`ve read the first novels of "The Sword of Truth" and was fascinated.Especially "Wizard`s First Rule" and "Stone of Tears" were great and phenomenal pieces of imaginative writing. But sadly not this one. The problem is: nothing happens! There are about 800 pages, and the history develops on about 100. Goodkind has made the same mistake as Robert Jordan, who started with extreme addictive books and then only wrote for writing`s sake, but not for the story. And besides, the Richard/Kahlan lovestory slowly but sure gets on my nerves, it`s always the same with swears of never-ending love and then -ouch- betrayal! and after that again "oh, darling, I will never leave you again!" That`s what the first 400 pages are about. Ah, sorry, I forgot: and feeding chipmunks. There seems to be no end to the series, but Mr Goodkind, I beg you, stick to the story and don`t write again such boring nonsense. Your first two books were brilliant and the "Temple of Winds" can`t compete with them. To all other readers: Get yourself these books and you will be pleased, but forget about the "Temple of Boredom"!
Rating: Summary: Wonderfully written; riveting!! Review: The best to date. This story goes further to add to the emotion and content of the world created by Goodkind. I couldn't put it down, non-stop-action. If you read one book this year make sure it's part of the "Sword of Truth" series.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic. Review: The Sword of Truth is an excellent series. The best ever, perhaps. Anyone who's read the first books already should certainly read this, it's the best of the lot. If you've not yet picked up the series, go check out Wizard's First Rule!
Rating: Summary: The best! Review: I cannot say enough wonderful things about this series. I long for the fifth book and even contacted TOR to determine the publish date. All I can say is, read all TG's books. You will not be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: Another great accomplishment by Terry Goodkind Review: Terry Goodkind has produced another brilliant piece of fiction with this fourth book, Temple of the Winds. As we have followed Richard and Kahlan through their many adventures, none can compare to the challenges they face in this novel. Pitted against the Emperor Jagang, Overlord of the Old World and would-be overseer of the New World, Richard must come to terms with himself and his love for Kahlan as he searches for the winds while Kahlan hunts down Shota, the witch-woman who has sent Nadine -- a member of Richard's past -- to marry Richard. While all battle for their lives, Jagang plays the puppeteer holding the marionette strings in this breathtaking sequel to Blood of the Fold. Cara is further explored as more than a Mord Sith as she and her new Sister of the Agiel, Kahlan, try to protect Richard from the most dangerous threat of all -- himself.
Rating: Summary: A True Classic Review: I have read many many fantasy books. And this is at the top of the list. What this book provides that others don't is that action seems to be put in the right place. What I mean by that, is everything is wonderfully thought and it is never boring or mundane....I simply could not put this book down!
Rating: Summary: IT WAS AWESOME!!! Review: i love terry goodkind him and robert jordan are the two best authors to ever write a series and this book doesn't deminish that title at all.
Rating: Summary: Was the best of the four books. Review: I have been reading this book for about 3 months. I didn't want it to end because I wouldn't have another one to read. I have enjoyed all four books and listen to the book cassetts in my truck when I am traveling. I wish you would have the Blood of the Fold in unabridged edition. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read. I hope there will be another one to follow and if there is Terry please hurry.
