Rating: Summary: The Adventure Continues Review: For anyone to say that the entire "Left Behind" Series is "unbiblical" is to slap the face of God Almighty himself. You do not have to believe the events descri bed in "The Indwelling". You can also step out in front of a freight train in defiance but you will be just as dead. I have been a strong Christian for many years and a seeker of knowledge as it concerning the "End Times" and the whole Revelation ProcessWhat I can say without error or regret is that two things are going to happen: (1) The Rapture IS going to take place and (2) you had BETTER BE READY! The "Left Behind" series gives us the most plausible account of what will take place on a level that is destined to be one of the greatest soul winning tools the world has ever seen prior to the Rapture actually taking place. To the naysayers I say - I feel sorry for you for being so ignorant of a valuable tool God has given the world in these final days before the Rapture. Never before in the history of publishing has the Book of Revelation been brought to a level that is clearly and easily understood. I urge you to get the entire series, read them in order and get ready for that BIG EVENT! Most of all, you must be ready for the Rapture! D.C. Battle
Rating: Summary: Underlying basis for book series is unbiblical Review: I would rated this a no-star but ya can't do that! This book (and all the books in the series) is based on the 'last days' madness infecting the large majority of the Christian churches in United States. Dispensationalism is what this book series is putting forth (in fiction form) and this belief system has largely been discredited biblically. (see www.prophecybooks.com) The major seminaries don't teach it anymore because it cannot be defended in a biblical and scholarly matter. If you want to learn some truth about God and the last days (or end-times), you won't find it here. If you just want some exciting FICTION, this book (and the series) will provide in double heapings (oh, the irony!).
Rating: Summary: Awsome! Review: The Indweling was the best book I have ever read. It took about a week to read it, it was so interesting. It was a great book! That is all I have to say. P.S. Read it.
Rating: Summary: Left Behind Review: I have not read this series in book form, but have heard all seven books on audio. Here are the good point and some of the many bad points of this series: Good: - Frank Muller is the narrator/reader for the books Bad: - Bad writing - Bad plot - The Christians often lie without hesitation to save their own lives in the story; the story never dealt with this and at least seek to justify it - The other criticisms raised by other reviewers here - and many others...
Rating: Summary: A Daring Escapade. Review: As I have said before, this series is getting better and better. Indwelling was awesome. I couldn't put down. I kept making excuses so I could go into a quiet room and read ( Nothing good on T.V. ect...) I really liked when Tsion had his dream and he went to Heaven. WOW!!! I think that Lehaye and Jenkins did a wonderful job with it. Good job guys!!!!
Rating: Summary: Slowest Yet Of The Series Review: No. 7 in the Left Behind series, The Indwelling, slowed the pace down quite a bit. So far I have gave every book 5 stars, this one I had to give 4. It wasn't that it was boring, the story just dragged on. It seems in the end the pace started picking up, it was just wading to that point. In The Indwelling we pick up where Assassins left off, wondering who killed Nicolae. Another believer dies in this book, while we gain two more. The safe house if found out and they find a new place to hide out. And of course, Nicolae comes back from the dead, which takes place at his own funeral. Even though The Indwelling was slower than the other books you still need to read it to keep up with the series. I am upset that I will have to wait for the next book, #8, The Mark. But I can't wait to start it and continue with the story!
Rating: Summary: 2800 pages too much... Review: ok , so now 2800 pages into this story and most is pointless dialogue...wasn't this supposed to be a 7 book story? Stretching to 12 seems a money making ploy...am giving up...this is like a soap opera...you can skip books and still keep up...
Rating: Summary: Not bad...could be better Review: It wasn't that bad. Ok, so it was kinda slow and some of the dialouge for the resurrection scene seemed forced and purposfully dragged out, but it was still pretty decent. But not nearly as good as Assassins. I mean, let's face it, we all knew what was going to happen during Indwelling, but Assassins kept you on your toes. If they Jerry Jenkins and Tim LeHaye can get back to that kind of suspense in The Mark, then it will be exceptional. So far, this has been the lowest ranking (in my opinion) of all the books, but it's still decent. Read it if you want to keep up with the series, but don't make this the first one...start at the begining. It'll make things a lot clearer for you.
Rating: Summary: The Indwelling Review: I have read all of the Left Behind Series, and I can't hardly wait for the next one. These are such great witnessing tools, if a lost person picks one up they can't help but want to know how to get saved. Thanks to Mr. Lahay and Mr. Jenkins for the great story. For the Chritians of the world we know how the real story ends and it is so great to know that the rapture could occur at any moment.
Rating: Summary: dreadful Review: A relative wanted me to read this book and I have to say it's probably the worst book I've ever read.Very boring story that did not touch me in any way.
