Review: This book should have been called (A long drawn out lead up to)The Indwelling. Nothing really happens until the final ten pages. As I read, I kept telling myself that surely something will happen in the next few pages. This book should have started where it ended and moved on from there. It is, of course, a must read, but only because it's part of the series. I appreciate the authors presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but I can't help but feel like they are trying to sell books rather than advance the storyline. Let's hope the next one is more to the point.

Review: I really enjoy this series for the message it is trying to send to the world. One thing we do need to keep in mind is that it is FICTION. On the same note, "The Indwelling" was way too boring, for lack of a better word. Okay so the Beast takes possession, but at the end of the book? I've read these other reviews and I surely pray that the authors are not dragging this series out to 12 books for money; that the next ones will be more involved. With 3 1/2 years left, it's awfully suspicious that this book covered only three days...

Summary: Maybe less action, but wonderful depth
Review: Though The Indwelling may not come across as spell-binding as book #6, Assassins, I personally think LaHaye and Jenkins did an incredible job making this book as the most real and powerful yet in the series. In the previous books, it is typical to find a lot of action, but things still seem to follow a typical path in writing popular fiction. In The Indwelling, we meet the characters in a whole new way. Rather than being perfect little beings who always have the correct answer to every problem, we see Rayford in a striking moment of humility as he realizes he needs to come before God in repentance. We see Tsion dealing with uncertainty regarding prayer and spiritual manifestations occuring in the last days. Chloe struggles with desiring to protect her son at all costs. What makes these scenes so powerful is the stark honesty in which they are written. It is as though the reader can feel the emotions along with the characters. Some may feel disappointed that this book seems slightly different from the other six in the series thus far. In my opinion, it is this difference- this deliberate, open window into the hearts and minds of the characters, which makes it so excellent.

Summary: Sub-Par Writing
Review: I continue to be disappointed in the writing ability of the authors. The first few books were good but it has been downhill since then. I found myself reading indwelllings just to make sure my assumptions about the assasin and everthing else were correct. Now that I find they are I wish I would have saved the money and gotten a one page synopsis of the book from someone. The writing level and suspense of the next book had better be taken to a higher level, otherwise this reader of all 7 books in the series has read his last Left Behind book.

Review: Lahaye and Jenkins have done it again not only does this book keep you wanting more but it stirs the heart of the reader to take a deep hard look at what is going on around them. I read this book in less than 24 hours and can hardly wait for the next in this series. Whether or not you agree with the content of this book it will keep your interest and give you food for thought.

Summary: So Sorry It Ended
Review: I was so excited that this book finally hit the stores-I was one of the first to pick up my reserved copy. Got home and dove back into the world of Rayford Steele to meet up with my new friends. The book clicked back and forth from one continent to another quickly, building suspense that finally came to a head very close to the final pages, and closed with a terrible threat to all.. Though I am anxious for the next installment, I felt cheated of more story, more insight from the authors about the times to come. I have done some study, and I am so glad that these authors are putting into plain language the prophesy of scripture for all to understand and ponder. These stories have served to help me envision how these events might actually appear and affect us all. They serve as food for thought, and I would've liked more to chew on for the next few months while I await the next addition to the series.

Summary: The Best of the Best!
Review: I found this book to be the most exciting of the series so far. I was hooked from page one and could not put it down. It is amazing that these gentlemen (Lahaye and Jenkins) and take the book of Revelation and make the characters and events so true to life. I am glad that I won't be here when these events happen. Maybe it won't happen the exact why they describe it, but it really makes you think that it could. Can't wait to see what happens next. My only complaint is that it takes so long for the next book to come out.

Review: I received this book on the 23rd and had it finished by the 25th. It was another excellent book in the series. I have the entire series and would recommend it for everyone. It is very easy to read, because it captures you and you don't want to put it down. You feel as if you know the characters personally. It is a great book and the series is wonderful

Review: I think the Left Behind Series is great! I have enjoyed reading all 7. I think the goal of the authors is let christians and non-christians alike know what is going to happen when Christ returns. They are putting a hard to read chapter in the bible into situations that I can understand. Great book and great series! Ready for the next one!
